Azazel accepts the books and reads the spines, chuckling. "I suppose you would. I do not know why I did not think of asking you sooner."
She flips open the first one and scans the page, before turning to the next. She starts to wander away still reading, managing to mutter to Xhiero, "I will return these shortly."

Some time later Azazel returns to Xhiero's room, stack of books in hand. She considers knocking, but decides not to risk waking him should he be sleeping. Instead she sloooowly opens the door and attempts to stealthily tiptoe to his bookshelf and place the books back where they belong before sneaking back out.

Susan settles properly on her barstool once again and pulls out her remote. Opening a hatch in the side of the device she starts fiddling with some wires.

Sensing Susan's unease, Azazel grins at her, bearing all her teeth. "You are engaged are you not? What does that make my brother? Or is this just some passing diversion for you?"

With a sigh Susan sets down her drink and stares back at Azazel.
"It was never my intention to develop an.... attachment" Susan cringes. "To anyone, ever. So, I'm afraid I hadn't really thought ahead, yet, here we are."
She takes a deep breath before continuing.
"I can't tell you exactly where I plan to go from here. I CAN tell you, that I have no intention of marrying Fernando if it is at all possible to avoid it. I can also tell you that I... care... a great deal for your brother, I wish to spend more time with him. And, I would never intentionally hurt him. However, you know me, I'm not a good person. I may unintentionally cause him emotional harm anyways. As far as the future..."
Susan motions to where Val is sitting.
"That is as much his decision as it is mine, so I can't really give you a firm answer." She grabs her drink and takes a huge swig.
"Now, this is probably the part where you try to warn me away from him, and you'll be very effective because you are the most inditmidating lady I've met since my mother. However, I'd be a terrible.... girlfriend" Another cringe "... if I ran away the first time someone threatened me."
