    "There is a chance your father is no longer at the bar. He did chase after you to my bar after you left him."

    He pinched the hem of his hood and toyed with it.

    "We haven't discussed a destination for Zieffar to take us. There is a chance we could be dropped off anywhere. Kevash might be the most reasonable place..." His hand fell back to his side.

    "I don't...feel like going yet."

    Azazel wakes with a jerk. She bolts upright and looks around, heart racing. Calming slightly at the sight of Val, she runs a hand through her hair and gets out of bed quietly as to not wake him.


    Slipping out if the room she makes for the kitchen in search of some food. "Why are there so many pizza bites in here?" With a shake of her head, she grabs an apple and heads outside to climb into the crow's nest.

    "I suppose, if we stayed away long enough he would come looking for me again. I did tell him I'd come back though." She cringes as Xhiero's words cause a twinge of emotion to strike her.


    "Damn feelings..." She mutters. "Don't go then. We far prefer having you around."

    "The choices is yours. I am tagging along for the ride, there is no where that I need to be at the moment."

    He walked towards the rail and leaned his weight on it.

    "Why are we traveling on an air ship when we have dimensional doors?"

    Val slowly opened his eyes feeling the absence of a body next to him. He jerked up and looked around the room. He grab his face and ran out of the bedroom, up to the deck. Frantically looking for Azazel.

    "Crap, and I said I would be a good big brother and protect her!"

    Azazel peers over the edge of the crow's nest at the sound of Val's frantic voice. She teleports down in front of him with a frown. "I am right here. I did not want to wake you."

    "Does it hurt to ask? You have a strange family. It might hurt Val if you disappear again if your father suddenly takes you away. Oddly he does not seem like that type. Mostly your fiancee and your mother." Xhiero frowns at the thought of Susan's mother.

    "Azzzziiii!" He pulled her in for a bear hug before releasing her. Val looked at Azazel. "You are still a mess."

    He reached into his sleeve and pull out a piece of cloth to wipe her face. His stern expression slowly softening up.

    "I am glad to have you back. I think we all do...Would you like to return back home or should we stay away from there for a bit?"

    Azazel wrinkles her nose as Val wipes her face, but lets him take care of her if it will make him feel better. "It does not matter to me. Where ever everyone else would like to go is fine."

    Her eyes dart away, "Though I would rather not be on the ship."

    "Xhi-chan. Suzie." He waved to them as he dragged Azazel over. "Any idea where we are going to land?"

    "True, Father is more.... relaxed than mother." Susan laughs at Xhiero's expression. "You've only met her once, yet you frown so fiercely. I see she is still leaving wonderful impressions."


    Finally beginning to recover from her laughing fit, Susan grins at the Val and Azazel.


    "Well, we did abandon Father in Xhiero's bar. Whether that means we head towards it or away from it is up to you."

    "Then to the bar it is." He sighed and went to tell Zieffar about their departure. He returned and waved for the group to following him to his room. He opened the door that is now linked to his bed room at the bar.

    "Let's hope, everything is still normal." Xhiero changed the lock and opened the door from inside his room so they party can advance downstairs to the bar.

    Azazel follows the rest of the party back down to the bar. She makes a quick stop to drop her things into a room and change into some light clothes before heading down into the basement to start a much needed, rigorous workout.

    "Where the fuck did he go now?"


    Fredworthy glances up at Azazel. It would seem that was exploring (snooping in) the basement.

    "Oh hello! It is so nice to see someone other than a robotic bird!" Fredworthy grins at Azazel, then really looks at her.

    "You seem familiar... do I know you?"

    Azazel stops in her tracks and looks up for the source of the voice. She studies the man, trying to remember if she has met him before when she remember the others talking about Susan's father being in the bar.

    "She has pictures of all of her little friends!" Fredworthy supplies helpfully. "My little Songbird has friends! FRIENDS!" 


    Fredworthy shakes his head in happy disbelief before answering Azazel's question.


    "Oh! Aelstra failed to appear for her birthday... again..." He frowns. "So I brought her a present!"


    Fredworthy pulls out a bright pink accordion.


    "So she can make music with her beloved father. I can hardly wait to see her face!" He beams at Azazel expectantly, waiting for a reaction.

    She chuckles and starts stretching. "Promise me something. Do not give it to her until I am there. I want to see her face when she gets it."

    The man happily marches upstairs and upon locating Susan scoops her up into another bone crushing hug.

    "Father! What have you been doing? You didn't cook anything, did you?"

    "No! I was just talking with Azazel about your gift! ....Buuuuut, cooking is a great idea! What is gift giving on an empty stomach?"

    The man happily strolls towards the kitchen with Susan frantically following behind.

    "Father! No! You don't cook, you barely know how to work the stove!"

    "Don't be silly. Things like technical knowhow are nothing compared to the SPIRIT with which you cook!" He declares already pulling out pots and pans.

    The next hour is a flurry of Fredworthy attempting to cook and Susan frantically following behind preventing total destruction. Putting out fires here, stopping Fredworthy from pouring in an entire shaker of salt there.

    Finally, Fredworthy proudly brings a skilletful of what looks like actually edible food. (Thanks largely to Susan.)

    She collapses exhausted into a chair as her father forces a plateful towards her. Defeated, she stuffs a forkful into her mouth.

    "It is delicious father." She says in a resigned voice.

    "I'm so glad you think so!" He says as he pushes a plate towards Azazel.

    "Oh dear, what did I come up here for, again?"
