Susan nearly collapses in her fit of hysterical laughter. Pulling a camera from her pocket and snaps a picture.
"Are you certain? You are pretty damned adorable this way. You could be cute at criminals until they submit to your will!" She tries to calm her giggles with moderate success.

Val throws his hand into the air and leaves the barracks.
"I'm going to go around town for a walk..." He said before leaving the two of them. Val shifted into a fox and darted off.
Xhiero followed Lexa outside and watched as she climbed up a tree, almost squirrel like.
"I was expecting to draw on the walls or make mess to piss Azazel off. You are a very tamed child." He reached up for a branch and climbed up after Lexa.

Gideon sighs and stares at Susan as he calls out to a couple of his men. "Lorin. Kalric. If Ms. Evensong does not change me back, please escort her to a cell and confiscate her weapon." Two men rise from their desks and move towards Susan.
Azazel finishes cleaning out her wounds and winds a bandage around her midsection before changing into some fresh clothes and a hoodie. She looks into a mirror and scowls a bit at the black eye and bruises on her face. "Can not hide those.."

Susan's giggles increase as Gideon calls to his men.
"Oh calm down, I was going to change you back." She waves the men off and presses a button returning Gideon to full-size.
"I suppose I should go track down my boyfriend."

Xhiero stared at the apple and tucks it away. He seem to be contemplating something but takes a bite out of it.
"Thanks."
The white fox scurries around the alley way looking for something of interest to him. It was rather empty and boring at this hour since everyone had moved into the local bars and pubs. Val pounced onto a pile of crates and peered into one of the windows, his eyes scanning the people.
He squeezed through a crack in the windows and rolled onto the ground. When no one was looking he shifted back into a human and smirked. Closing the space between him and the nearest man he reached out for his pouch.

Val winced as the blade sliced into his arm and took a step back. He continue to smirk at the man.
"Hey pal. What if my hand just accidentally got caught onto your bag? Not safe to be swinging a blade at everyone who touches you." He starts to scan the room for an exit.
"It is not easy to pluck you out as an intruder. Everyone in here knows each other. I think you are in for a quite a load." The room began to surround Val as they pulled out their weapons.

"NOW WHO IS STARTING BAR FIGHTS?!"
Marching past the men she grabs the front of Val's shirt and begins dragging him out of the bar.
"You were just lecturing your sister you hypocrite!"
Lexa happily munches her own apple, but notices that Xhiero seems thoughtful. Pulling out her notebook she jots down her question.

A large man slammed the door shut in front of Susan.
"Not so fast, missy. No one barges into our private meeting room and leaves so easily."
"Let them go...unless you all want to be turned into a pile of ashes." A voice spoke from the center of the room.
"I doubt that fox was smart enough to listen in on anything."
The large man was silent for a moment but obeyed and stepped aside. Letting Susan and Val pass. He shoved them outside and shut the door.
Xhiero read the message on the notebook and shook his head.
"Looking at the apple, I thought I could make some candied apples. They are one of my favorite sweets."

Etheyl's eyes show the glazed look of information overload. She flips to the next page...and the fog dissipates as she gives a little "Ah!" telling that she found what she was looking for. She takes a slip of paper left for those doing research and scratches a few notes on it. She flips another page or two, makes a quick jot, and closes the large tome with a relieved sigh. She hauls it back to the shelves and slips it back where she found it.
Upon leaving, her sending stone vibrates. As she picks it up, she receives Xhiero's message. Maybe the library blocked the signal. No calls in the quiet zone. With a look at the sky she does realize she took a bit longer than expected. Shouldn't have gone alphabetically...
Enjoying the cooling night air and what felt like a general release of tension for the whole group, Etheyl decides to sprint back to Azazel's house. She got plenty of odd looks, and some suspicious ones from patrolling guards, but it managed to add to the fun of it.
Slowing as she came to the house, Etheyl spots the pair of tree climbers and grins up at them. "Huh, I didn't know Azazel had any fruit trees," she talks aloud to herself playfully. "They don't look quite ripe yet, though! Too baaaaad," she bemoans, walking into the house.
After a minute she darts back out with a canvas bag and swings up into the tree next to Xhiero and Lexa. "Okay so I thought about toilet paper but that's supposed to be a bitch to clean up. Soo..." She displayed the contents of her bag. String...pink construction paper...and safety scissors. They were in a tree, after all. There seems to be a set for each of them. The heck does she get this?
She has a big ol' grin on her face. She cuts a quick heart shape out of the paper, threads some string through a hole poked in it, and demonstrates a knot tied on the other end that should release when pulled. "So we don't get beat up too bad by Azazel!" That demonstrated, she hangs the heart on a length of string from a nearby branch and lets it dangle down. She turns to the other two expectantly with a decidedly mischievous grin.

She giggles at the reluctant manner that Xhiero started his task with. "I'm just being a goofball, you don't have to be an accomplice. We could even write silly notes on them or throw in various shapes."

She adjusted herself on her tree perch waved a scrap strip of construction paper at him, looking concerned about him. "Don't you be afraid to open up, hard as it is. You're not saving us any grief if we're instead spending time worrying about you. Hiding emotions or problems has already cause some danger from what I've heard, what with you all getting kidnapped."

Xhiero looked at Etheyl with a confused expression.
"I am not really worried about anything right now. Mostly have to keep Lexa entertained. I am not good with children..." His eyes dropped back down to the paper as he cut more hearts.
"If I can't keep Azazel entertained when she's bored how do you expect me to keep Lexa entertained. I am probably the most boring person out of the pool here."

Lexa frowns and hugs Xhiero tightly before writing furiously.
[You aren't boring! You're calm, and kind! You make delicious food and beautiful art, and you're so strong! I don't always need to be entertained, I have spent the last 5 years trying to survive, being bored is a luxury.]
"That voice sounded familiar. But, never mind that, what were you thinking?!" Susan scolds.

"I'm here too now. We'll come up with something," she said with a comforting smile. "Besides, Lexa's a good girl. Sure she doesn't mind doing some reading on her own, either, once she's tired of us fussing," she says with a grin and nod at Lexa.
She just lets out a laugh. "But as for you being boring? Xhiero, you're a part-time grim reaper that is also a black dragon and an immortal prince, and probably even more I don't know about. All I got for me is I'm a human but was raised by gnomes...and I've got a lot of crazy friends with crazy stories and crazier lives.
"But for actual...entertainment. You are using Azazel as your baseline. That's not fair on yourself. I've known that woman for a long time now and I will tell you that she cannot sit still for any length of time without doing something. But you know what? If something bores her, she either gets away from it or kills it. She came back to you. That's not something I remember seeing. She will always have her little bored fits and nights where she wanders off. But you obviously mean so much to her. I'm sure you've got some ways unique to you to entertain her too," she says, blushing and waggling her eyebrows.
"But...entertaining kids, or Azazel...I think there's something to remember about both. You can practice. You're not going to be perfect at first, there might be trial and error, but be open to improvement and experimentation. Take the crisis with you-know-who for example. Painful as that was for both of you, it showed you two how much you did want to be with each other, regardless of flaws or differences. It means you're willing to work with each other."
Etheyl smiles gently and shrugs a little. "Just be yourself, but don't be afraid to expand who you are."
She pats Xhiero's shoulder comfortingly, and returns to cutting out what looks like its supposed to be a bow.

"If I should expand then I will." He said before disappearing into the house and coming out with a large bag. Xhiero dragged it to the pool and dumped the content onto the water. Now the pool was filled with tightly wrapped candy. The reaper stood next to the edge and smirked at his master piece.
"Then things would be too easy for her if she goes in..." He returned to the house and came out with a handful of mint and tossed it into the water.
