"Charlie! Charlie is this giant man eating plant! This cool guy named Zurricash (who was a vampire troll) owned him, and he let me feed him steaks! He ate them like dog treats! He could also give fist bumps which I've never been a giant fan of, but when a giant man eating plant offers you a fist bump, how do you say no?"
Susan is chattering excitedly while animatedly moving her arms, clearly pleased to be talking about the plant. She pauses and tilts her head in confusion at Val's statement.
"What do you mean?"
Skull Crusher contentedly follows, not sure why she is heading that direction, but with no real reason to oppose it.

As Skull Crusher and Azazel walked towards the misty mountains, the daylight grew dimmer and everyone began to change. The garden seem to have disappeared before them and appear in the distance behind them. Everything was dark and cold. Bare and deserted.
The two find themselves upon a sandy shore. A small campfire was at their feet, and boulders for seats. A beautifully decorated boat was sitting slightly upon the shore. A lantern dangling from the tip with the design of a swirl. Further investigation of the boat, you find a small sign that says:
"Xhiero's keep out!"
Your eyes lift towards the river. It is blood red and you hear strange sounds of moaning and whispers. In the horizon you see lights specks in the water. There appears to be a town on the other side of the river.

Val listened to Susan excitedly chat about Charlie. He sat down on a boulder and watched as she waved her arms all over the place.
"The man eating part makes me uncomfortable, but I would like to meet Charlie. He seems rather interesting. Maybe I can give him face nuzzles and hugs!"
Val pushed Susan's forehead with his finger.
"Nothing."

"If I told you, you might explode." He laughed. Val couldn't escape either since Susan was grabbing his finger. Feeling devious he leaned closer to her face.
"I thought you didn't like human contact. Look who's the grabby one now." He spoke different tone. More confident and playful voice. Almost resembling that of Berserk Val but not in anyway chilling.

She climbs aboard the little boat and takes a look at the controls. "How hard can it be? Hold on to your soul." She manages to get the boat pointed in the right direction and begins to navigate across the river.
"Not bad for my first time piloting a boat." She chuckles.

The boat rocked side to side after leaving the shore. It drifted quietly over the wailing waters. As the lights reflect off of the small waves and ripples, they seem to make out faces.
As the boat makes it towards middle of the river, arms emerge from the water and grabbed onto the boat. Sensing that it was not the usual reaper who ferries the dead across, they lashed out to grab Skull Crusher and Azazel.
Make athletics roll to stay on the boat.

Val stared at Susan as she turned red and backs away. He lost it when she started mumbling and burst out laughing.
"What's wrong, Susan Evensong. Did you sudden feel something call loooove? You don't look like the same confident, sassy woman when we first met."
The demon wasn't going to let her escape so easily. He stepped closer.
"Do you feel fidgety when I come closer?"
He leaned forward and whispered into her ear.
"Does your heart beat faster when I am this close to you?"

The two manage to stay on the boat as it drifted closer to the lights on the river. A closer look, they appear to be small boats with lanterns on them.
The arms retreat the closer the boats drift towards the lights. Finally all was peaceful once more. The water still remain crimson but the horrible faces and wails are gone. Everything was dead silent. The boat hit the shore and stopped.
A large wall loomed over Azazel and Skull Crusher. In the distance a large gate with iron doors separated the river from the illuminating town. Two guards are stationed at the gate.

Susan's face gets redder and redder as Val invades her personal space. She doesn't move she just twitches slightly as if she is somehow malfunctioning.
Finally she reaches up and covers his mouth. Pausing to look into his eyes, it seems like her confidence has returned though she is still embarrassed. She leans forward and whispers in Val's ear this time.

The guards seem to tower over Azazel like large statues. The guard was clad in black and even his skin was the darkest black. Only his eyes shifted down to examine her.
"You do not belong here. Leave." The guard replied.
"This is the underworld. Only few are allowed to pass this gate." The other guard spoke. Appearing quite the opposite of the previous. He was dressed in white and skin as like porcelain. "Please return to where you came from."

"The underworld. Interesting that it is so close to Black Rose. Must be convenient for Xhiero though." Not interested in picking a fight with the guardians of the underworld purely out of curiousity, Azazel nods to the nondickish guard and turns around, tugging Skull Crusher along. She shakes her head. "I damn near get my ass beat by my brother to save you, just to bring you to the gates of the underworld myself."
She climbs back into the boat and sets back off for the other shore.

Val walked away as he lectured on.
"You should never force someone to love you..." He yawned and started walking towards the inn. "I am sleepy..."
