    "Eh?!? What kind of ideas are going through your hea-" Val sudden gets pulled into the bed. He suddenly feels afraid for morning to come.

    Val brushed Susan's messy hair from her face and planted a kiss on her forehead before pulling her into his arms and falling asleep.

    "I am not tired." Azazel stifles a yawn and keeps walking to the sink, not noticing she no longer has a plate until she actually turns the water on. "Hey!"

    She walks back to Xhiero and tries to snatch the plate from him. "Just because I am drunk, does not mean I can not do my own dishes."

    "I will take the basement. I can already picture someone thinking it would be amusing to wake the hungover demon by opening the curtains." She pats Xhiero on the shoulder and makes her way for the basement. "Good night, Xhiero."


    In the basement, she locates a decently sized storage closet, heads inside, and locks the door. She leans the corner and slides down the wall and shuts her eyes. "If I ever drink again it will be too soon."

    Starting to awaken Susan takes a deep breath and braces herself.


    Okay. Val is going to be there. I am aware of this. I won't freak out. I WON'T FREAK OUT!


    Susan takes a deep breath and does not try to escape when she opened her eyes.


    "Good....morning...." her voice sounds a bit strained.

    Val woke up hearing Susan's voice.

    "Good morning." He smiled to her and kissed her on the forehead. Val chuckled seeing her expression.

    "I'll go get you breakfast." Val pushed himself from the bed and ruffled her hair.

    He disappeared out of the room and return later with a Bloody Mary on a tray with a plate of toast.

    "I am sorry I can't keep you entertained today. Got some work sent to me. Do your best of behave while I am gone." He said as he dressed himself and tied on his weapons.

    "I'll see you when I get back." Val returned to Susan's side and pulled her close before giving her a kiss. He caressed her cheek before disappearing out the door.

    As Val leaves she gives the toast a cursory nibble before downing the Bloody Mary.


    He'll never know...


    Susan gathers her things and heads to the bar. She wants to be centrally located if something interesting happens. For now she enjoys the silence and starts to tinker with one of her devices.


    I wonder how hung over Azazel is....

    With a loud groan, Azazel wakes up and rubs her eyes. "Fuck."

    She stands up and stretches, her back cracking from sleeping on the floor all night. Moving towards the door her plate armor clangs together, the cacophony rings in her head and makes her groan again. "This is not going to work."

    Azazel strips out of her plate armor and pulls on a tank top and a loose pair of pants. She safely stows her armor and axe in her bag and makes her way upstairs to the kitchen. After brewing a cup of tea and grabbing a pastry, she takes a seat at the bar near Susan.

    A weird sound comes out of Azazel mouth that sounds something like a cross between a growl and groan. "I feel like death."

    "Probably from spending too much time around Xhiero." Susan murmurs with a chuckle, before pulling a strange pouch out of her pocket.

    She dumps it into a glass of water and it instantly begins to bubble effervescently. She pushes it at Azazel.

    "This is supposed to help with hangovers. Not sure if it works, the damned stuff is so sweet I can never drink enough of it to find out...."

    Azazel accepts the drink and sniffs it before looking at Susan warily. She takes a sip and, finding the flavor acceptable, downs the rest of the glass. The pounding in her head recedes and she feels a bit better.


    "My thanks. But why do you carry around a hangover cure?"
