Lariel nodded to Azazel. She curled up into a ball to hide in the shadows.
"Was that all you were interested in about me? Women, always falling for a man before they get to know them." Sloan playfully tossed a dagger in his hand as he sat down on a crate.

"Absinthe, my dear. I could use a lift." Azazel looks to the skies and the sound of wings grows closer before the great wyvern lands next to Azazel. She grabs Lariel and mounts beast taking off into the air.

The lights flicked on after Azazel knocked on the door. The door creaks open as Faye peeked out, still half asleep.
"Who izzat?" She yawned and rubbed her eyes.
"Hmmm? Azazel? What are you doing here? What happened to your boob..I mean..chest!?!?!" Faye gently taps the chest piece with her finger to cast a healing spell.

At the mention of Sloan's name, Faye's usual cheerful mode changed to angry and sorrow. She quietly nodded to Azazel and returned inside the house for a few minutes.
"I sent a message to the capital. They should be sending help immediately. Sloan.." Faye clenched her teeth at the name.
"He needs to be put down! How many more lives must be wasted for his own entertainment. Sloan is a man who only cares for himself. I thought I could forgive him, but only to be betrayed again." She placed a hand on Lariel's shoulder.
"Poor thing. Head inside. My brother will take care of you." Faye smiled warmly at the child, who obediently listened.
"Where will you go now? Sloan will be back...he always does. Please be careful."

"It has been a fine evening together. Perhaps we can do more bonding in the future."
Val stood up and tried to embrace the big man again.
I won't lose to the strength of this man!
