"Cake is more important then dishes." He cuts into the slice with the fork and feeds her another bite. Xhiero gently nudged her away from the sink.

Etheyl stands and stretches as the boat pulls into harbor. "Well, go figure! I didn't realize how close we were. I hope you like the dress anyway," she tells Lexa with a smile.
"But now what...? Azazel just loves house guests but I should talk to her about the mark sooner rather than later. I'll just make sure to knock." She shrugs at Lexa. "I think Azazel and Xhiero jumped ship, so you're more than welcome to tag along with me on the way to her place. I think I'd prefer you came along, really, what with that Cyril having a way of showing up at of nowhere and Oghma having a crude sense of timing sending you his visions. We can either ask to crash at the house a while longer or find something else to do after we go over the mark business."

Xhiero stacked the dishes onto the side to draw and wipes his hands dry. He moved in front of Azazel and planted his hands firmly into the surface of the counter on both sides of Azazel. Xhiero leaned close to her ear.

"We were tasked with retrieving an item from a temple. While there we agreed to rescue a little girl, she turned out to be a vessel for the temple's deity and we all ended up bound to her." Susan laughs and downs another drink.
"A pain in the ass, but the girl is alright as far as kids go."

Etheyl takes Lexa's hand and makes her way out of the docks. She finds them a sort of trolley, and rides it to the outskirts of Kevash. From there she strikes off into the woods, making the trek to Azazel's not-quite-hidden-enough grotto. Along the way Etheyl prattles off this story or that to keep silence from setting in, and--if she tires--lifts Lexa to her shoulders for a bit.
Honestly not sure how far the house actually is, it seems a little ambiguous. Ignore me if there's like...666 Azazel's House Road, Kevash.
Making it to the front door, Etheyl takes a deep breath and raps the novelty skull doorknocker.

Azazel grins up at Xhiero after their.. activities.. and opens her mouth to say something, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door. She sighs and bonks her head against Xhiero's shoulder. "I guess at least they waited until after.."
She gives him another kiss before sliding off the counter and adjusting her clothes on the way to the door. Swinging it open, she raises her eyebrow as she sees Etheyl. "Uh, hi. Points for knocking." She pushes the door open wider so they can come in.

"Apparently the marks will vanish once the little girl has achieved her 'destiny'. Which seems to amount to the God sending us on the occasional random mission, I believe the rest of the party should be returning from one of those missions soon, actually. It probably wouldn't be so bad if he didn't nearly kill the kid every time he wanted to inform her of a mission."
Lexa happily follows behind Etheyl into the house.

Etheyl walks in and stands awkwardly before deciding to plop herself on the couch and giving Azazel the 'we need to talk' look.
"On the boat, I talked over some things with Lexa," she begins falteringly. "About the whole God-Quest thing, that is. Specifically the marks. You...know me. Naturally, I don't trust Cyrill." She stopped awkwardly. "Seriously, at all. But I've always been sensitive to that crap, the deals from former enemies thing."
She sighed. "It doesn't really solve the whole problem, but...I get how much the mark grates against you. Lexa helped me understand it even better. Okay, so...I guess...ah, a summary. You hate the mark and want it gone, Cyril offered you an out you wanna take, I don't trust him with Lexa, I was helping Lexa anyway, so...I can't get rid of everyone's mark. But I asked Lexa. I can take yours."
Etheyl goes silent. Her nerves got the better of her and she had sort of...tumbled out the proposition onto Azazel. With eyes filled with embarrassment and concern, she looks up at Azazel expectantly, presumably waiting for her initial response.
She reminds you a little of Leo right now.

"What kind of a god would use a child in such a way." Layla frowned. She looked out the open door to see how much time had passed.
"You should probably head home. Things get a little rough and shady around here at night. Do you need a lift? I can arrange for a ride back to wherever you need to go."
