    "You say that but I bet you get lonely." Val tapped Lexa's head with his paw and waved his tail back and forth. He sighed and jumped of from Lexa and turned back into a human. Sitting down next to Susan at the bar. He gently petted her head.

    "I am much more polite at kicking people out of a house then you are. I am sure you didn't miss much." He said and returned the hug. Xhiero kissed her on the forehead and smiled.

    "Peace and quiet all to ourselves now. I should head back to the other house eventually. I told Lexa I would return."

    "Then I shall take advantage of having you while I can." She grabs Xhiero's hand and pulls him over to the couch, pushing him down to sit and curling up in his lap, her head resting against his shoulder.

    Lexa considers this for a moment before nodding. She certainly can't argue with the truth, it did get lonely being left here by herself. She shrugs and scribbles in her notebook again.

    [Perhaps, but I have spent a great deal of my life alone, it isn't as if I am not used to loneliness.]

    Susan sighs and leans her head on Val's shoulder as she takes a sip of her drink.

    "I was worried about you..." She mumbles.

    "You know, he is much more polite than any bear I've ever come across. More polite than most people," Etheyl says, finally taking her gaze away from the door.

    Etheyl smiles at Lexa. "Yeah, I know we are fussing a bit much about all this. Besides, probably be hard to read with someone staring at you. Still, just because you're used to loneliness or pain or any of the other bad things you've been through doesn't mean we want you to feel them. What good was everyone getting you out of there if we can't make your life better? You know, you're more than welcome to ask us for things, even, if you're feeling daring," she adds with a gently indulgent smile.

    "And hello again, Susan. And nice to see you, Val," she adds with a smile and nod of greeting.

    "There's no need to worry about me. I always come back." He continued to pet her head as she drank. Val turned his attention back to Lexa.

    "There's no need to force yourself to be alone. You should learn more from Susan. She's like a needy little cat." He laugh and poked Susan's cheek. Val nodded to Etheyl to return her greeting.

    "Taking advantage of me? I feel so vulnerable especially when I just have a towel on." He laughed and rested his head against her while his hand gently caressed her cheek.

    Susan glowers at Val and then shoots Etheyl a menacing look.

    "Forget you heard that." She commands.

    Loved ones properly threatened, she resumes leaning comfortably against Val as she continued drinking heavily.


    Lexa meets these words with a small but very happy smile. Standing she hugs everyone, including Susan who stiffly pats her on the head. She makes Etheyl's hug extra tight before locating a chair and sitting down.

    Azazel blinks and looks down. "I had not even realized..."


    She drops her head back down to his shoulder, fingers idly swirling over his chest. After a moment she grins mischievously and tries to stealthily untie the twist holding his towel in place, so it would fall when he got up.

    Val blinked confusingly at Susan. He smiled and patted Lexa on the head since he had a girlfriend on his shoulder.

    "You still keep the 'I am Susan Evensong. I don't have feelings.' thing around Etheyl?"

    Xhiero doesn't realized that Azazel had undone the knot of his towel. He continues to sit there enjoying her company. His eyes slowly drooping as his head fell back against the couch.

    "Around this smug creature?" Susan asks gesturing to Etheyl. "You bet I do. You should see the look on her face whenever she thinks I might be having feelings. I have to keep it up or the woman will never shut up."

    Susan grins sheepishly at Etheyl.

    "I guess I should go to bed..." Xhiero adjust his hands so he can pick Azazel up. He stood up from the couch as the towel dropped to the ground.

    But Xhiero was to sleepy to notice. He walked to their bedroom and gently dropped Azazel down onto the bed before flopping on himself.

    Azazel chuckles quietly at the soft thump of the towel falling to the ground, but was only slightly disappointed Xhiero didn't notice.


    Once dropped upon the bed, she curls into Xhiero's side and stares off into space.

    Etheyl flinches as the ice cube hits her forehead. She snickers triumphantly.

    Looking from Val to Susan, and at their drinks, Etheyl shrugs. Haven't had one in a while, why not? She pushes away from the bar and gets off her chair to walk behind the bar.

    Apparently feeling mischievous tonight, Etheyl leans over the bar, exagerrating as she brings up her arm to lean on her elbow. She raises her eyebrows and turns to Lexa with a grin.

    "And what might I get you, little lady? Somethin' to wet yer palette, or do you be wantin' some manner of vittles?" She cocks her head and points a finger at Lexa. "Now nothin' alcoholic, y'hear? Yeh don't seem to be quite of age yet by my reckonin'."

    Etheyl finally breaks into a giggle, but also seems thoughtful. "You know, I don't think I know your actual age, come to think of it." She was a little worried about this being a sensitive topic, but decided to ask anyway. "How old are you? Do...you happen to know your birthday?"
