    "I'm afraid I can't tell you much. Just that it is very old and very powerful. That why I am here." He taps the cover of his book. "Hopefully one of these will have something that can help me capture and contain it."


    Azazel's jaw drops as she stares at the screen, watching her character be literally spanked to death. She turns to look at Xhiero as the KO flashes across the screen, her mouth still agape.

    Xhiero watched her expression and burst out laughing. He couldn't speak for a minute until he calmed down.

    "Is something the matter, love?"

    "Lexa! Dammit, where did all these people come from.." Val began to shove his way through the crowd trying to look for her.

    It didn't take Val long to spot Lexa and rushed over to her. He grabbed her and put her up onto his shoulders.

    "Young miss. You do not run away from your guardians because things like this happen and much more worse things can happen. Like being kidnapped by nasty grown ups." Val frowned as he tried to backtrack to the store but failed to do so with the crowd. He dodged into a store to seek shelter, only to be hit by the strong scent of sweets.

    "Old and powerful? How interesting!" Susan's eyes light with curiosity as she studies the book and her new acquaintance.


    "You said capture, does that mean it is a living thing? Isn't that a dangerous task to undertake on your own?"



    Lexa flinches and looks away with a guilty expression scribbling a short message.

    "Lots of quick attacks that you could not easily escaped." Xhiero placed the controller down and leaned towards her to peck her check.

    "I should keep my win so I can gloat about it." He gave her a smug look and leaned back into the couch.

    "I as not upset. I was being...a demon. We like to fool around so you should take us to heart. Enough of these guilt trips you will ruined the mood of the store. It is suppose to be a happy place." Val waved his hand around the color store filled with treats.

    "I bet there are things here you must really want to try."

    Looking away from the treats she studies Val for a moment and writes.

    "Back at the library you told me the story about the mother bunny seeking her bad child, right? Am I not like a mother to you since I chased you down?" He put his hand on his waist and frowned hard at her.

    "Now go grab your fill of sweets so we can get back to Susan before she throws a fit about me disappearing. Get as much as you like and don't hold back. My treat."

    "I'll be ready for that day." He smiled at her and gently pat the side of her rump before hiding a laugh.

    "Do you wish to continue playing or shall we do something else?"

    Val walked to the counter and paid for Lexa's treat. He held onto her hand as he walked her back to the bookstore.

    "Anywhere else in town you wanted to go? You seem very happy about the trip."

    "If we play again before I practice, there is the chance I will throw the controller. So that is up to you." Azazel swats at his hand with a smirk and leans back against the arm of the couch.

    Lexa smiles up at Val and shakes her head, before writing in her notebook.

    "Fine no more games until you have mastered your characters." He smiled and stands up to remove the apron that he had forgotten about.

    "I think I'll go for a stroll, if you would like to join me." Xhiero walked towards the bedroom to change into some decent clothes.

    "Yeah that would a good idea before she gets hurt or kidnapped by strange men again." He said as he walked Lexa back towards the bookstore and entered.

    "We're back." He waved to Susan.

    Riorden was about to open his mouth to offer to help Susan find them, when the pair strides up. He offers them a nod of greeting before smiling at Susan. "Worried over nothing."


    "Sure." Azazel grabs some boots and pulls them on as she waits for Xhiero to change.
