Susan wakes and smiles when she sees that Val actually left a note.

Showering and dressing quickly she heads into the lab and starts working on a device. All goes well for a few hours until.she swears and dives to the floor as the device suddenly shoots a laser up through the ceiling and roof.

Staring up through her surprise skylight from her position on the floor, reaching into her pocket, and lights a cigarette on a burning strand of hair.

"That wouldn't bother me. I am a bartender after all." Xhiero watched as she disappeared into the bathroom and sat back down at the desk. He resume where he had left off on his paper work.

Val returned home to find it brighter then usual. He looked up and spot the hole in the roof.

"Susan! What did you do?!?" He walked over to her and fixed her hair before staring at the hole.

"Let's hope it doesn't rain..."

Azazel exits the bathroom wrapped in a towel and ruffles Xhiero's hair on her way to the dresser.

She pulls on some clean clothes and brushes her hair as she watches Xhiero work. "Should I find another day's worth of entertainment in the city?"

Susan grins sheepishly as Val extinguishes her hair.

"A minor malfunction." She explains as she pulls out her cellphone and flips it open.

"Fluffernutter, I need you." Susan says immediately into the phone before snapping it shut.

"So, how were the urchins?"

"You cannot bring any big weapons or cast magic when there are people around. Do you understand?"

"They were happy to receive so much food. That should feed them for a few days." Val smiled and kissed her on the forehead.

"Are we getting that roof repaired?"

"I take it that means no armor either." Azazel frowns and pulls on a pair of boots, tucking a dagger in each one before pulling her pant legs down to cover the hilts.

She moves to different part of the room and puts another dagger in the back of her waistband, covering it with her shirt.

"Perhaps we should develop a more efficient method of food distribution, it could do wonders for the company's image...." Susan muses as Fluffernutter enters the room.

"What did you need Ms. Evensong?" Fluffernutter asks as he studiously avoids Val's gaze.

Susan points up at the hole in the roof.

"Fix it."

"O.. Oh dear..." He looks up at the roof with a sigh before pulling out his own phone and walking away as he frantically babbles into it."

"I'll ask Susan and Val if they wish to join," He pulled out his sending stone and called Susan.

"Would you two like to go on a ghost hunt? We are about to leave, unless you are busy."

Hearing the sending stone, she grins and replies.

"Val and I were just looKing for something to do! We'll be right over!"

With a grin Susan summons a dimensional door.

"Shall we?"

"Yes. Before we get there. No heavy armor, no weapons, no magic,...no harm to the civilians unless it is really necessary. This is a different world." Xhiero said seriously.

"Val you might have to change...also hide your ears and tail." He said. Xhiero gave Val some time to change. When they are all set he activated the seal and teleported them to a small rural town.

Xhiero continue to read the parchment as he navigated towards a house a little outside the town.

"Should be here...." He looked up from the paper to find a boarded up house.

"Now to get in..."

"It would appear so since they boarded it up." Xhiero said as he approached the front porch. Graffti line the walls and bored. A small scribble wrote.

"Do not enter." Another wrote. "Cursed."

Xhiero examine the boarded window to see if he can pry it open until he heard a loud crash. Looking over he saw that Azazel had broken through.

"Not very gentle, I suppose. The home looked abandoned."
