Susan nods at this and reaches up to pat Val.
"That does seem to be the case. I wonder if we could transport it without touching the damned thing directly."
Licome is busy staring at Val, mouth agape.
"Did your pet just fucking talk?! If so, why the hell didn't it ask me before sinking its awful little teeth into my hand?!"
Susan ignores the questions and lights a cigarette, operating under the assumption that Val would field this one for her.

The fox rolled its eyes at Licome.
"I helped you enough. Why don't you go pass at least one test on your own and prove yourself a man and worthy of your family's treasure."
Xhiero smiled at Azazel' failed attempt pull him back.

"To be fair, you did all the work Val, so it isn't as if I was working hard."
Licome glares at Val and stomps towards the gauntlet with a huff. Pulling off his coat, he wraps it around the gauntlet. He picks it up and suddenly falls still, staring at the thing with an odd gleam in his eye.
"Mr. Licome." Susan questions waving her hand in front of his face.
"Mr. Liiiicccooommmme!" She frowns as he continues to stare silently at the gauntlet.
"Oh for the love of god... CALIAM! Earth to Caliam!"
Finally he seems to shake himself out of it and smiles apologetically at her.
"It would seem, that I do not have any extra artifacts to reward your corporation with after all. However, I will ensure that they are paid handsomely for your services, thank you Susan."
With that Caliam Licome turns somewhat stiffly and strolls out of the cave with the gauntlet, still seeming rather distracted.
"Oh goody, I'm certain that won't come back to haunt us in the future." Susan growls with irritation.
"Val, can you return to human form now?"

"Lets get back to the Black Rose Inn, Princess."

"She took that comment about being more aggressive to seriously." he told himself as he adjusted his clothes and hair. Val quickly chased after Susan.
They returned to the bar later that evening with Val still looking like a mess.
"Wonder where those two went."
