It is very clear what happened here, but none of you can think of why anyone would come after Azazel in such force or who would do such a thing.

Xhiero gathered up the rest of Azazel's axe and placed it into his bag. He kicks a body laying face down over to see if there would be any clues.

Xhiero and Zieffar both notice that all the men seem to be dressed similarly in dark red armor, regardless of their armor type. Of the fallen, it would seem the group brought a wide range of fighters, from mages to rogues to juggernauts. Guarding against such a variety of attacks would not have been easy.

"We know where to go..." Xhiero handed Zieffar the note. He walks about the room gathering the souls that still linger and cleaning up the bodies. At least it is something to keep his mind busy.

While Zieffar isn't sure about the manor part, he recalls seeing the name Emberwood on a map to the west. Perhaps it is the same?

Zieffar stands up, and heads for the captain's cabin. He grabs a couple of appropriate looking maps, and returns to the rest of the party; sprawling them on a nearby table. He investigates them, looking for either Emberwood Manor, or some sort of settlement to the west that seems like a good place to start the search for their missing friend.

As the pair analyze the maps, Xhiero notices something interesting. The more recent maps do no seem to have anything named Emberwood or similar.
However, one of the more ancient looking maps in Zieffar's possession does. Zieffar was correct in that it is to the west. It appears to not be too far, nestled up against a mountain range.

Zieffar pats Xhiero on the back, and smiles. "Excellent job, son! We have a destination. Friends, we set sail for Emberwood Manor!"

The Hellraiser takes the trek to Emberwood. As they touch down they find a long abandoned village, the buildings barely standing. Sitting up on the mountain, looking over the village is a mansion that seems to be barely in better repair than the village.
