"Confidence is the one thing I never lacked." Vasani chuckles and grabs her last bottle, drinking it down.

"Vasani, darling, while your confidence is admirable, I do believe I've won." Susan raises an eyebrow and happily sips another bottle.
"... of course that is up to our judge."

"Sorry Love, you put up a good fight but it seems you were just no match for Cupcake," Aden says as he gets up to help Vasani rest her head on his cloak. He then studies Susan, wondering how in the world she was able to intake all that liquor.

"I'm afraid that I'm always drunk. I actually function far less capably when sober... which Aden can attest to." She laughs and takes another sip. "If I stopped drinking now the collective hangover would probably kill me."
Looking over at Vasani with mild concern she raises an eyebrow.
"You going to be alright?"

"Yes, you should have." Susan agrees nodding solemnly. "But, I am glad that you didn't."
Grinning she turns her attention to Aden.
"Well, Sweet Cheeks, you have anything you'd like our poor loser to do, as per our bet?"

"I would prefer her to recover first," Aden says as he rubs Vasani's back. "I don't want her puking everywhere." At that thought he makes a disgusted face.

"You don't have to worry about that. I tend to pass out before that happens." Vasani turns her head to look at the two of them out of the corner of her eye. "A bet is a bet. Do your worst."

"So kind and caring Aden, I didn't know you had it in you." Susan teases before turning her attention to Vasani.
"Despite your claims, he does have a point my dear. This bet lasts all day, there is no harm in starting slow. How about, you tell us a story?" She asks before smirking.
"And, because I am nothing if not a gracious master. If it is a good one maybe I'll be compelled to share one too."

Re: Boatversations
"Let's see. I already told Susan the best one about getting my ship..." Vasani pushes herself upright and looks off in the distance to think of a story. "Okay, I got one."
"So, this was a few years ago; right after I left Red Terrace and before I got my ship. I had just made my way to Son Tanusia for the first time. Since I was from a such a small town, I was completely in awe of this huge city and completely oblivious that there might be people there that would be not so nice."
"Eventually, my natural wanderlust led me to the docks. I had always wanted to see a ship. They seemed the epitome of freedom to me. So, when I found the docks with all these huge ships just sitting there, I decided I had to see more. I picked a ship at random and just waltz aboard."
"I was just looking around, utterly mesmerized. As it happened the ship I had picked was owned by some smuggler or another. And I found their cargo as I was looking below the decks. Crates upon crates of magic weapons and other items. Far too many to be legit, but I was still curious."
"I had just popped open one of the crates and was eyeing a sword when a few of the crew came down. Naturally, they weren't happy and couldn't exactly let me go."
"It was probably four or five guys and they were blocking my exit. Running wasn't an option. I did the first thing I could think of. I started crying. Rambling on about how I was running from horrible men and saw the ship and hoped to hide until they went away. They all looked between each other, scared of this crying girl and unsure how to handle it."
"They were so bewildered and just wanted me to stop that they tried to comfort me and took me up to their captain's quarters. Wrapped me in a blanket, got me some food and left me in there to wait for him alone." Vasani grins. "After all, what harm could this tiny little girl do?"
"Needless to say, I stole everything of value in that cabin, which was quite a bit of gold. They must have just gotten a payment. Afterwards, I climbed out of the porthole and hung around on the ledge outside until the captain came back." She chuckles and her grin grows larger. "He was sooo pissed."
"While he was berating his crew for negligence, I snuck back below deck and swiped a couple of swords." She pats her hip where her rapier was sheathed.

Re: Boatversations
A presence enters Azazel's room aboard the Seawolfe.
It sighs.
Out of the shadows, the Demon King Demetri approaches. He sighs as he looks down at Val.
"You really fucked up this time, didn't you darling brother?"
He shakes his head. "Couldn't just stand to be alone, could you? You are lucky I am such a kind big brother."
He returns to his natural form, that of a fox, and plucks the wisp out of the bed with his teeth and sets him on his back. "Let's go home." he says, and disappears in to the shadows of the ship.

"I knew you love me, big brother." Val muttered and cuddled on Demetri's back. The wisp curled up into a ball and goes back to sleep.
"At least she is doing okay."

Vasani mimics removing a hat and bows her head with a grin. "Thank you. It was one hell of an introduction to city life."

"Well I'm glad you did instead of died, or this trip would have been far less interesting... And Aden would surely have thrown me off the damned ship by now and simply told everyone I was seasick in the room." She chuckles.
"Does your brother have any problems with your piracy, by the way? The two of you are such different types of captain."

Re: Boatversations
"Yes, me too. I do so enjoy being alive." Vasani tosses Susan a crooked grin.
"My brother does take a bit of issue with my piracy, but he gave up lecturing me on it a while ago." She shrugs. "Unfortunately for him, he decided to take up residence in a city with a pretty popular port and we see each other often. So we can't even pretend that I do something boring like.. garden or knit sweaters. But I make up for it by passing him along bits of info I pick up."
