I probably shouldn't have called him a dick. He HAS been kind enough to let us stay... With a sigh Susan pulls out a pen and paper and hastily writes out an apology note.
She attaches the note to a small box of chocolates and leaves it behind the counter for Xhiero to locate before grabbing a drink and a small saucer.
Wordlessly she sits next to Val and pours the booze into the saucer. That task done she calmly lights a cigarette and takes a drag.
"Macaroni and Cheese is a classic! What were you trying to cook when you nearly burned down the estate?"

"A very long time ago perhaps. Our preferences on location tend to conflict however. Demetri stays far from mortals unless it is to manipulate them to his own purpose. Val tends to stay in the forests. And I prefer to dwell closer to mortal civilization."

"I've never really thought about it. I suppose until I grow bored, or until Azazel grows bored with me. I've been putting off officially going home, because I don't want to get married yet, so until I solve that problem I'll probably keep traveling."
