Azazel quietly listens to his story and nods. "That makes sense. It is nice, I suppose, that you were reunited with your sister even after death."

At Xhiero's question she looks off into the distance, her brow furrowing. "I do not know really. I have always had an interest in the macabre and things considered taboo. Death always seems to be something the humans fear, regardless of the time. I have found it is the one constant throughout time. Something about that is comforting, even if death is not really something I have to worry about personally. I can only truly die at the hands of another demon and most do not go that far." She takes a bite of her cupcake.

"Not to mention skulls just look badass."

"Excellent." Azazel stands and follows Xhiero out the door and towards the armory. "I imagine she fears losing you again. At least she cares enough to look out for you."

Entering the armory, Azazel's eyes dart from weapon to weapon, unsure of what to look at first. She freezes when she spots something in particular and lets out a tiny squeak and rushes over to it

"It is beautiful." She strokes the blade and lifts the axe into her hand, testing its balance.

He sighs as she squeaked and ran towards the axe. Probably an unusual sight to see Azazel squeak, but Xhiero was too use to it while he babysits Mimi.

"I know." Azazel sighs. "I have a lot of weapons, not just axes. Most I just keep on display. This one however would be excellent to fight with. Perhaps the owner is willing to barter?"

She looks back to Xhiero, a bit sheepish. "Sorry. Probably got a bit too excited. Is this where you got your scythe?"

Another skeleton walked out from the back and greeted the two with a nod. He noticed Azazel holding one of the axes on display and says something to Xhiero in a foreign tongue. The two converse for a brief moment before Xhiero reached into his pocket and handed the man a pouch of what sounds like gold bars. The reaper turned to Azazel and grabbed her by the back of her hood before dragging her out the door.

"Whaa--?" Azazel tries to squirm her way free of Xhiero's grasp. "You can just say 'We're leaving', you know. You do not have to physically move me everywhere."

She processes the exchange between the shopkeep and Xhiero. "Did you buy this? You did not need to do that."

He let go once they were outside.

"Not many people get to shop in hell. Consider yourself lucky." He continue along the road as they passed by more shops.

"By the way. Do tell me why your oldest brother and that snake keep appearing when someone assumes you have a boyfriend. Especially that big snake. Would be nice to have him stop damaging bars."

"I will repay you." Azazel places her new axe on her back alongside the old one. She raises her eyebrow at the sudden topic change and scowls. "I wish I knew. Some twisted form of protecting me I imagine. Despite the fact that I can obviously take care of myself.I do not know how they even find out."

She shakes her head clear. "I do apologize for the bar damage. If I could stop it from happening I would. Trust me."

They had reached the end of the main road and found themselves standing before a very large building. The exterior design gave the vibe of its importance. Xhiero stopped and turned back towards the town.

"This would be the palace where the Emperor of Hell lives. Each realm of Underworld has their own king." It was awfully silent and dull in front of the building. All the festivities of the town were blocks away.

"Is there any place else you would like to go? Renting a room here is cheaper then buying a home if you wish to stays here for the bit."

"Perhaps I should remain celibate to spare the world's bars any further damage." Azazel looks up at the impressive palace and the lack of celebrations nearby. "Does the emperor not partake in the festivities as well?"

She looks up towards the sky, trying to discern a time. "Stopping into the inn is the only thing I can think of, having seen the smithy and bakery already."

"This is the border of sanctuary and the real hell. Judgement takes place in there, so it is best to keep the loud festive noises away from here." He explained as he turned around and headed towards an inn, down a quieter road. The change in scenery was different from before. There were less lights and the sky was darker here.

District of Respite

Inside the building was a small bar and stairs leading to rooms upstairs. A counter conveniently placed right next to the doorway as guests enter through to rent rooms.

"How long are you planning to stay here?" Xhiero asked jokingly to Azazel.

She turns back to Xhiero, "I suppose I will leave whenever you are ready. I can not afford a room and, as entertaining as it would be, I am not sure how my brother would react if you told him you left me in hell anyway." She smirks.

Xhiero entered the bar area and sat down at the corner of the bar.

"If you would like to return here. Let me know. The guards won't let you pass unless you are accompanied by someone from this realm."

"If you break that boat then it just means you won't be able to come back here until you get me a new one." The bartender behind the counter here was a cloud of mist, that somewhat resembles a human form. It patiently waited for their orders.

"Yes, they are also reapers here. The Black reaper guides the sinful to hell and the White Reaper guides the good to heaven. You can say they are always opposites of each other."

Xhiero ordered a sweet alcoholic drink from the bartender and a glass of chocolate milk for Azazel. She probably wouldn't order anything since she didn't have the money for it. He shook his head at her question.

"Not really. I tend to go back home and take care of the inn. Don't you have a home to go back too? You seem to be attached to that broken down bar that your pet snake barged into twice."

Azazel rolls her eyes. "I do not, nor did I ever, have any intentions of breaking your boat." She accepts the chocolate milk with a nod of thanks to both the bartender and Xhiero and takes a sip before answering.

"I spend a great deal of time travelling for both work and entertainment. I do have a home, however, an estate that I have had for many years. I return to it when I have had my fill of humanity and wish to be left alone."

Xhiero tried not to laugh at the thought of the bar owner who hid himself from the Deva attack.

"Indeed humanity can be very tiresome to deal with. Luckily we can get away with revenge unlike a handful of people." He played around with the fruits floating in his drink.

"Your work must be related to killing, isn't it? Unless you are secretly a house keeper with great cleaning abilities."

Azazel smirks at Xhiero trying to hold back his laugh, but does not comment. "I suppose you could say I am akin to an assassin for demons, without all the stealth and flair. I am not well liked for it."

She sighs. "The cleaning is just a hobby. A non-violent way to take out my aggression. I hate filth. Plus my home is somewhat large and I do not trust anyone to tend to it for me, especially when I am not there, so I take care of that too."

Val is such a master of stealth that he manages to slip into the yard completely unnoticed and guides Susan into a proper hiding place as well. Now that you are closer to the house you hear a voice emanating from the window. A woman's voice, she appears to be singing something but you can't quite make out the words.

You can see the front porch from your hiding place. On the front step rests a small pillow, a seat for the frog, perhaps? Either way, the pillow is empty now.

Susan feeling somewhat nervous squeezes Val's arm.
