Susan squirms as Val envelops her in a hug.

"Vaaalll, it is fine. Things attempt to murder us constantly, you can't block every attack. Not even my professional meat shields were able to do that." She tries to escape the hold. "Besides, we won't be able to walk like this."

When they arrive in the barren area Susan looks around for a clue on what to do next.

Susan smiles slightly as she observes the shifted sand.

"Now..." She whispers to Val "I could be wrong, and this could just make me look like a crazy person... buuuuuut..."

She starts pointing at various areas on the beach.

"Eeeny... Meeny... Minney.... FIREBALL!"

Susan suddenly tosses a fireball at the section of sand that appears to have shifted by itself.

Anyone in that section needs to make a dex check. xD

As Susan's attack hits the mysterious hidden figures it broke their stealth to reveal an
Otyugh and a drow. The creature let out a angry roar at the party. The drow smirk at Susan with one arm in the air. Gesturing the monster not to attack.

"You're quite a charming young lady. That is quite the greeting." He winked at her. "I am afraid I have more important business to attend to. Please. Let my friend here keep you company in the mean time." The drow pulled out a crystal shard and chanted some sort of incarnation as the stone glowed red and dimming into a black rock. The light traveling to the beast and empowering it. The drow let out a laugh before vanishing from sight.

The beast now healed back to it's full health charged at the group. The otyugh tries to grapple Val and Susan with each of its two tentacles, while biting at Xhiero.

Val and Susan make dex saves:

Bite: +6 attack bonus on Xhiero

Val's Dex save: +6

The member 'Xhiero' has done the following action : Roll them dice!

Susan attempts to dodge the tentacle.

"Hey, this isn't that kind of adventure!"

Both Val and Susan were able to dodge the tentacles. However Xhiero is not so lucky and takes the bite.

Azazel wanders down into the barren area with a handful of strawberries to find everyone engaged in battle with some tentacled beast. "Hey, look I found some--- What the hell is that?"

She drops her berries, draws her axe and charges at the creature.
