The Otyugh looks around at the party, choosing who to attack this time. Seeing that Azazel is no threat to it at the moment, it turns to Xhiero, Susan, and Val.
The two tentacles wrap around Val and Susan, lifting them up into the air. It is about to smash to into each other, but stopped midway. The monster continues to keep its hold on them. The tentacles squeezed Val and Susan until they go unconscious.
It bites Xhiero before retreating from the fight with two captives.
Azazel flops onto her back and coughs. "Th-Thanks." She struggles to sit up with a groan and digs in her bag for a healing potion and rolls it towards Xhiero.
"I wonder why it ran off." Staggering to her feet, she walks over and offers her hand to Xhiero to help him up. "You alright?"
"Barely, but I will live." He grabbed onto her hand and got up. Xhiero handed the potion back to Azazel. "Don't waste these on me. I will recover over time." Xhiero bit his lips not sure how fast he would recover with his unstable body.
He looked into the horizon to see if he can spot the beast. No luck.
"If the drow has a beast that large...they must have a hideout nearby. If we find it, we will be able to save our comrades." He looked at the sand, noticing the foot prints of the retreating monster.
"We must follow the footprints before the wind covers them up." Xhiero began to follow the imprints that traces the border between the wasteland and the forest.
Azazel pockets the potion and mutters under her breath, but is unwilling to waste any time arguing. "Stubborn."
"Should be easy enough. There can not be many places around her to keep a beast like that hidden." Azazel shifts into a fox and sniffs the area the beast had been, committing the scent to memory in case they lost the physical trail, before jogging to catch up to Xhiero.
They walked until they came upon a part of the forest again. Far from the city. The trees and shrubs were parted, noting that the creature had ran through here. Deeper in the forest, Xhiero and Azazel can see a large cave opening. No one seems to be guarding the entrance which is very suspicious.
Xhiero glared at her. "Of course there would be a trap or an ambush. All they seem to do is stealth." He squinted his eyes to see if he can spot anything that was hidden.
The more he tried the dizzier he gets. He put his hands to his face and rubs his eyes to get his vision back. Xhiero could feel his energy dropping rapidly but being stubborn as he is manage to continue sitting upward.
Azazel on the other hand was able to spot two hidden guards at the mouth of the cave. The do not seem to notice Xhiero and Azazel yet.
He nodded in agreement as he gets as close as possible to one of the guards. Xhiero misty steps behind his target and swings his scythe at the drow's head.
