    "No...I just have a tendency to chew it...because I can." He frowned when she took the straw away from him and began to nibble at her finger. Val careful not to bite it with his fangs.

    Xhiero came down from his room after take a nice shower and changing into new clothes. He was wearing very casual clothes, most noticeably his skull patterned PJ pants. Xhiero poured himself a glass of fruit punch and moved away from the group to drink it in the corner of the room.

    A shiver suddenly runs down Susan's spine and she blushes brightly as she yanks her hand away. It would seem she's discovered something new about her interests...

    "So, what would you like to do today? We could relax, or we could stalk your sister, perhaps we could beg Xhiero to let us see that brewery he mentioned..."

    Val grabbed another straw and stuck it into his mouth.

    "I think the brewery is back in their kingdom... He mentioned that they strive off of trading goods like liquor. I don't think Xhiero would be happy to send us back to the brewery after we came back here." His eyes glanced over at the reaper who was relaxing in the corner. "We can try to ask him in a few days. Besides he might remember that he wants to murder me."

    Val sighed and leaned back in his seat.

    "No regrets. Being on a ship for an entire day can get boring. Admit it. You would've found it entertaining if those two started bickering or talking."

    He turned into a fox and curled on Susan's lap. Rolling on his back and pawing at her hands before pulling them in and playfully nibbling on her fingers.

    "You're Azazel's brother? Which one?" Rhys eyes Val warily for a moment before returning to his paperwork.


    "I will stay at least until she returns. After that I will probably go attend to other matters unless she asks me to stay. Which she won't."

    Val let out a laugh.

    "Good point, but I could be as bad if I wanted to." He pounced from Susan's lap and sat down on the counter.

    "It is a shame we will have to part ways with my little sister. I already missed her. Say, are there any other jobs she has not done yet. Perhaps I can be of assistance?"

    Rhys pulls out another stack of papers. "These are the contracts she turned down. Mostly simple executions. She tends to turn down anything that wouldn't be a challenge." He pulls out a pocket watch and frowns at it.

    A grin crosses her face.


    "Of course, if I threatened to break her employee, maybe she'd show you more appreciation..."

    Azazel walk through the front door of the bar looking battered and bloody. She pulls out a tattered piece of parchment and slaps it on the table in front of Rhys. "Go collect on this and tend to the rest of your duties. You are dismissed."

    "What happened? Do you need to be healed?" Rhys stands and looks like he is about to examine Azazel for injuries, but Azazel gives him a look that cows him.

    "They were waiting for me. I broke some ribs and could probably use healing. " Azazel growls and her mouth snaps shut. She stomps off towards the baths, swearing under her breath. "Gods forsaken witches and their magicks."

    Rhys stands dumbfounded and stares at Azazel as she leaves. He turns to Susan and Val, eyes wide. "Did she just admit to needing healing?"

    Val grinned, his smile so wide it stretched across his face. He cleared his throat.

    "Oh no, my dearest little sister seems to have been badly injured. If only there was someone so kind with goodness in their heart to heal her battered and broken body." He said loudly so Xhiero could hear.

    Xhiero ignored the loud commotion across the bar and continues to sip his drink, reading through a newspaper.

    Val noticing that his plan was not going anywhere, creeps closer to Xhiero.

    "Poor Azi-chan. I heard she has some broken ribs and could use some nice healing rubs-" He was cut off as Xhiero shoved his hand into Val's face and pushed him away.

    "I will heal her when she is rea-"

    "Oh thank you! I knew you are a kind man deep inside that cold, frozen heart. Now let us go fix her up!" Val smiled and grabbed Xhiero, dragging him to Azazel without paying attention to Xhiero's curses.

    They barged into the baths as Val smiled at Azazel, meanwhile Xhiero covering his face with his hand. Doing his best to not see anything in the room. He let out a heavy sigh and continued to curse under his breath.

    "Sister, Xhiero said he will heal you!"

    "I said, when she is done bathing you moron!"

    "Oh....okay then. This is your problem now. I'll head back to the bar." Val smiled and retreated away from the springs.

    "Gods damn you, Val!" Azazel calls after Val and sinks deeper into the hot springs.

    Looking at Xhiero out of the corner of her eye, she manages to say, "You do not have to sit in here. Feel free to go pummel my brother, in fact."

    "Yes, that would be a good idea. I heard you have some broken ribs. I can heal those quickly before I leave." Remembering the hot spring area from heart, Xhiero slowly approached the edge while keep his eyes covered. He knelt down and held his hand outward.

    "Rest your hand on mine's. I will cast cure wounds."

    Azazel tries to say she's fine and to not bother, but the words get caught in her throat and she starts coughing instead. With a sigh she relents and places her hand in Xhiero's, mumbling out a thank you.
