    Val watched as Susan darted out of the cave and mention of virgins. He looked to Faelar and shrugged.

    "That doesn't sound so bad." He smirked but quickly patted the other man on the back. " I kid. She just needs the booze."

    Val wrapped his arms around Faelar's shoulder.

    "By the way...why are you so damn pretty. How do you keep your skin so smooth..."

    Azazel doesn't move at all in response to the soldiers moving to and from the cave nor when Susan approaches her. "It was either that or cleave you both in two. Leaving seemed the better option." She waves her hand dismissively. "I am fine."

    Pretending to study a nearby plant she looks at Azazel from the corner of her eye.

    "No. I do not know." Azazel scowls. "I feel a, a.. kinship. With him. I suppose I enjoy being around him." She jerks her head up and her eyes finally open to look at Susan, wide and full of panic. "But I feel this way about my other friends as well! It means nothing."

    As Susan and Azazel continue to talk deep into their conversation, they do not realize that the elves had cleared out the cave and everyone has returned to the city, including Val and Faelar who are still deep into their conversation.

    "Why do you care anyway?" Azazel growls and stands up. "Even if I did feel something beyond friendship. Which I am not saying I do. I would be willing to bet money on the fact that he does not feel that same. I am going back to the city."

    She wanders away and starts back on the road to the city.

    Susan stands and scurries behind her.

    "To be fair, I can't tell what that man is feeling about anything. But, he seems to enjoy your prensece as much as I've seen him enjoy anything!"

    She pants slightly as she tries to keep up.

    "Damn you and Val and your stupid long legs!"

    Suddenly she pauses and looks rather confused.

    "You know, I'm not sure why I care. I mean, at first I was just asking to pester you. Yet, somehow I feel a genuine concern. WHAT HAVE YOU PEOPLE DONE TO ME?"

    Her expression is aghast.

    "I had assumed he would head to the city with everyone else. You can't expect him to wait around in a cave for us to talk about whether or not you want to have fuck Xhiero's brains out. That sort of thing is probably very uncomfortable for older siblings!"

    With a sigh Susan pulls out a piece of paper scribbles something on it and shoves it in an envelope.

    "Very well. I swear I will attempt not to bring up the subject of potential romance between the two of you. Unless, you do something that I absolutely cannot resist teasing about, but I'll even try to cut back on that. HOWEVER, this is only under the condition that if anything romantic happens between the two of you, you will open up this envelope and read the note that is inside."

    "I can't tell if I'm pleased that you know me so well, or disappointed that you're spoiling my fun. Either way, it means that I will continue to occasionally tease you about this subject."

    Susan's pout rapidly returns to a grin.

    "However, if anything does happen, you'll know in your heart of hearts that I called it. Imagine how fun it would be for me, lording it over Etheyl that I got to meet your boyfriend before she did! Of course, you have had far more experience in the romantic field then I have, so if you say you don't feel anything for him, I suppose you would know what you are talking about. He still hasn't been eaten by a snake after all..."

    Azazel plops down on the couch without realizing the mound of men piled at the other end of the couch. Val, Faelar, and Xhiero were all passed out on the couch.

    "Welcome home!" Faye smiled to Azazel from the kitchen. She appears to be cooking something but it is as black as ashes. You see hints of tree barks and plants protruding from it.

    "They all came home and passed out in a mound over there. I tried to make dinner...but it definitely doesn't look like lasagna." Faye placed a hand on her cheek and stared at the dark matter.

    "Do you happen to know how to cook?"

    Susan sighs with relief at the fact that they apparently do not need to hug.

    "I can get behind that decision." Another thought occurs to her. "If spontaneous romance DOES occur, please wait till we get off the boat, I don't relish the idea of being eaten..."

    As they arrive at the house Susan waves at Faye.

    "I saw her bake a crunchy cake once!" She declares with a grin.
