Shooting the blouse a disdainful look, Susan frowns.
"I'd sooner walk around naked, than spend all of my time in a damned blouse."
Suddenly, it occurs to her that she never bothered to change out of the one from last night. She looks down at the mussed and vaguely blood splattered outfit with an irritated sigh.
"Perhaps. Now I know how you feel when you are at the inn." Xhiero rubbed his chin as he eyed the paintings. He dropped his hand at the prickly feel of his facial hair.
"What are these paintings?"
"Need help changing?" He smiled and pulled out another outfit from his bag. Val laid it down next to Susan. "Alright....let's see."
"Mostly random pieces I found in my travels. Macabre paintings like this are getting harder to find." Most of the paintings contain skulls, skeletons, battles, or other dark subjects. A single portrait of Azazel also hangs on the wall. "Apparently more.. chipper subjects are bigger sellers."
"What else would you prefer to wear then? Dresses? Swimsuits? Tank tops?" Val began to play with her hair, brushing it with his hand. "I find amusement in dressing you up to make you uncomfortable."
"I see." Xhiero looked carefully studied the paintings and then his eyes landed on the portrait of Azazel. "I am going back to town."
His face lit up as if he found a calling. Xhiero walked towards the front door and paused. "Would you like to join me?"
"Would there happen to be an art story in town?" Xhiero asked as they walked through the forest. "If we stay here longer, I can spend my free time painting."
"Not the lab coat." Val sighed. A spark gleamed in his eyes.
"Now is my perfect chance to practice!" He starts trying to unbutton Susan's coat.
"I believe I remember seeing one in the markets." Azazel leads Xhiero through the gates of the city and towards the market district, pointing out an art store. "There."
Not knowing much about artist's materials, Azazel stands off to the side as Xhiero shops.
"Thank you." He smiled when he saw the store. Xhiero browsed every shelf of the store touching nearly everything he saw. Finally deciding on the final materials he paid for his supplies. Xhiero patted Azazel on the shoulder when he was ready to go.
"I could spend forever here...Let's get out of here before I start browsing again." He had a couple large bags in his arms. Some with wooden frame protruding from them.
"Is there anything else interesting in this town that I should see before we leave?"
Azazel taps her chin in thought, going over her mental map of the city. "There is a gourmet grocery that has exotic ingredients and cooking supplies. Several bookstores. Candy shop. Blacksmith."
She shrugs. "This city as anything you can think of. One of the reasons I picked it when I built my house."
