Etheyl, herself becoming a little nervous, shoots Val a look. She tries a Pro Head Chef voice. "Mister Val, please step away from that woman and let her finish her dough. We do have a reputation that is our duty to uphold," she says with pride, standing straighter.
Etheyl widens her eyes. "Just the few of you have been covering for the party? I do hope we didn't arrive late, but regardless, I am impressed." She does a little bow of her head. "While we--Oh dear Gods, did he just climb through the vents?! Oh my...my gods," Etheyl sputters, trying to mask her own panic and shock through that of her cover identity. "Something has definitely snapped in that man. I do hope it is only temporary. Perhaps he was worked too hard...or simply not cut out for the rigors of catering."
She looks emphatically at the staff. "I am...deeply sorry for the shock this must have given--What in the nine...did he just follow him, as well?! This is...certainly not indicative of how our company usually conducts itself, I assure you! I myself was...certainly not expecting it. I imagine they will come out soon, at which point I give you my word that they will be sent home, and their employment at Tasteful Melodies will be given some stern consideration. Very stern consideration," she says, giving the open vent another shocked stare.
Etheyl takes a deep breath. A very deep breath. "Again, I am unimaginably sorry for this bizarre series of events. I do imagine this has given you all a bit of a fright. What I was attempting to say before...that happened, is that I do appreciate the offer of aid in catering this event. But doubly so now, I believe the group of you deserve some time to rest. My remaining coworker and I are more than capable of covering the demands for now. If the situation does arise that we require your assistance, we may choose to call upon your services. Again, I cannot tell you how sorry I am for this inconvenience."
