RP Free for All: Chapter 9

You pass through the door, and immediately bump in to someone! The boy stumbles back, and seems to be no older than 19. He (or was) holding a large bag of trash, that has now partially spilled on the floor. In a raspy voice he says, "O-ooh hi um, oh jeez, hi can.. I.. help you with.. something mam?"

The boy looks utterly confused and even a bit startled and scared.

You creak open the door. Before you lies an empty hall. To your left, you see a large open archway leading in to a large room, where you hear the sounds of running water and.. laughing? To your right you see a small inconspicuous door, and a path leading farther down the hall.

You are unable to really make out any sounds utter than the sound of running water.

You hear voices, laughing, running water and.. slapping? It sounds like a lot of horsing around.

You gracefully slip up to the second floor of the building's fire escape. You see a large window before you, that appears to open out in to a rather large kitchen of some sort. There is another floor above you.

Lexa browses the room; it's musty, and appears to be a locker room of some sort. The floors look recently mopped and swept.

The jobber teen stutters, "O-oh no th-- I got i-- um, do you want me to get my boss, he m- might be able to help you--"

At that moment, the loser kid yelps loudly from surprise!

You turn, and see Val had just bumped in to you, entering the room!

You creep in to the room, and bump in to someone on the other side. It's Susan!

You hear a loud yelp! A loser looking kid is on the floor in front of Susan with a partially spilled bag of trash, looking straight at you.

You all appear to be in some kind of locker room.

You raise the garage door.

Behind it, you see five muscly men of various races spraying each other with water, slapping each other's asses, and general horsing around. They are all shirtless, wearing cut-off shorts, and appear to be cleaning two of the company's delivery trucks. There is pop-sounding Evensong music playing.

However, as you open it, the screwing around comes to an abrupt stop. They all stare at Xhiero with a stern look, and one of the men goes over to stop the music. One particularly large orc puffs out his chest and says, "Jus' o' the hell'are you, foshnu karanzol?"

Pressing your nose against the glass, you notice that the room is mostly empty.. except for a large ogre near the center. He appears to be preparing .. bread? And some other things. He is also paging through some papers on a table near him. They look like work orders.

Lexa looks around some more, only finding one size-small uniform that is.. smelly. And stained. She does, however, see another piece of uniform leading in to another room adjacent to the lockers.. and another piece.. and another piece. It looks like a trail!

The teen looks scared, flustered and confused. "H-hey yo- you guys can't be in here i'- i'll get in trouble with my boss! I-- lady I.

He seems to start to hyperventilate a bit. He takes out an arcane inhaler, and takes a deep breath.

"O-okay. Um, you miss with the little girl I can't actually let you guys stay in here maybe you can both should with me and I can lead you to my boss. I don't actually have any power over giving out company property and could really get in trouble. I- i'm sorry. Please understand."

The men look utterly flustered and embarrassed; their egos shattered in an instant. The orc lets the two of you in, and the others start muttering to each other. They look a combination of ashamed, and angry. They size up Azazel, and seem unimpressed.

You notice a pair of them close the garage doors back up. As you make your way to the exit, the orc stands in your way. " 'Ey listen boss man, listen how 'bout you and I we.. discuss this, a little bit."
