Etheyl didn't come into the house for a while, as she was helping Crumnley unload the truck and all the goods and gear. He still had some post-job cleanup, and cover up, to take care of, though. After they borrowed Azazel's...facilities, and packed up his personal luggage, he had to get going. She'd decided to stick around here for a while, so she was on her own.
Still winding down from the job, Etheyl heads downstairs and flops onto one of Azazel's couches. Damn Azazel gets might fine couches. She lets out a big breath, making a bit of a raspberry noise as she does. Glancing around, she stops herself short, noticing the sleeping Lexa. Oops...sorry little one.
Etheyl watched her as she slept. The obvious uneasiness of her sleep worried Etheyl, making her heart ache. She couldn't stand seeing others suffer, but this little one was clearly suffering. Etheyl didn't dare wake the poor girl, either.
What have you been through, sweetheart? I should have asked Azazel more about this "mark" and destiny surrounding her. Lexa is something special...I can tell that much. But I wasn't there for any of it. I know nothing, really. A faint, somehow sad smile comes across Etheyl's face. Barely...two days?...and nothing but her name, and I'm already attached.
Increasingly becoming attached to Azazel's couch, Etheyl realizes the day is finally catching up to her. She was comfortable where she was, and a bit reluctant to leave Lexa alone with her nightmare, so she grabs one of Azazel's throw pillows and soon falls asleep on the couch.
