RP Free for All: Chapter 11

Xhiero eyes the armor and turns to the unconscious man. He grabs the man by the collar and lifts him up.

"Wake up." He said in a harsh voice. "Where is the woman?"

Val quietly darts around the hallway. He is not sure where to go but usually the furthest room is where most things happens. He goes for the very last door in the hall.

The man jerks awake in Xhiero's grip and groggily tries to get free. "Wha-- whahappen? Whatwoman?"

Val skates down the hallway, past the room where Xhiero's trying to intimidate some poor man. He makes a beeline for the last door and doesn't notice anything dangerous. However, turning the knob reveals that the door is locked.

Susan does her best to stay out of the way and absently looks for clues or anything of interest... stuff..

The most noteworthy items Susan spots are the books scattered through the room. There is a great deal on arcane theory, the workings of the human mind, and medical and psychological journals. She also spots a torn scrap of paper that looks so old it could fall apart at your touch.

Val effortlessly picks the lock and with a twist of the knob the door opens. Beyond appears to be an opulent bedroom. Decorated in red velvets and silks, this room seems to be oddly disconnected from the rest of the ramshackle mansion.

The man's eyes dart to the armor. "I.. I don't know where she is now. They just brought her to me to patch her up. They took her away as soon as I was done. Said they had to chain her up before she woke up."

He looks up at Xhiero, terrified. "Whoever this girl is, she isn't worth crossing the boss for, man."

Zieffar strolls in to the lavish room. This is the kind of place I would hide a secret entrance to a dark lair. The wizard searches the room carefully, looking in particular for secret rooms or hidden switches.

Zieffar looks around the room. It seems to be decorated specifically to give off the feeling of power and importance. He spots more notes and books a top an expensive desk. Don't people hid things in the false bottoms of drawers?

Most of the books appear to be arcane journals surrounding the topic of mind manipulation. The notes follow the same vein, some in old, faded handwriting while others looks more recent.

In the top right drawer, Zieffar shuffles aside some junk to find a little hole. Sticking his pinky inside, he is able to lift up the false bottom revealing an odd sort of contraption. It is shaped like a star and crafted out of ornate gold. There seems to be a button in the side.

Oh I wanna push your buttons. The wizard takes one good look at the object, looking for any indication of what might happen when he pushes the hell out of this button.

The member 'Dungeon Master Orange' has done the following action : Roll them dice!

The way the object is shapped, with grooves and indentations also makes it reminiscent of a key, or as if it was intended to be inserted into something. And while you do feel a hint of magic coming from it, it doesn't seem harmful in any way.

Perhaps the button aides in the locking or unlocking somehow?

Zieffar turns and inspects the object. Fit the star in a star shaped hole, and push the button. Intriguing. He pockets the "Star Key".

The wizard gives the room one last once-over, before heading back in to the hall.

Passive Perception 16

Reading the scrap of paper Susan feels mostly irritation as well as a slight surge of what she is reluctantly forced to classify as concern.

Where the fuck are you?

With a sigh, Susan tries another random room looking for anything else of interest.

Aside from a bunch of valuables that you could maybe sell. If you were into that kind of thing. There does not be much else of use in the room.

In her feels fueled rage, Susan yanks open a random door and steps inside. She found the hall closet. With dusty old towels. She sneezes.

Feeling incredibly manly for some reason, Susan sighs and steps out into the hall.

Fucking emotions! Lets try this fucking bullshit again. Brain, if you don't help me here I swear to god I will murder you with the strongest liquor I can find as soon as we get home.

Susan and Zieffar end up at the same door. As Zieffar twists the knob the doors squeaks quietly as it opens. Within seems to be a very sparse bedroom with nothing more than a bed and a table as far as furniture goes and a heavy set of iron manacles and chains laying nearby.

The wall above the has two holes in it, looking as if something was ripped from it.
