Susan grits her teeth and starts drinking faster as if bracing herself for something.
"No, with proper dedication to the art of music one can change minds, hearts, and even the way the world works. Music is the magic of the soul. Aelstra will finally understand that when she finally dedicates herself to music and stops playing scientist."
He smiles affably at her seemingly oblivious to her fuming anger.

Xhiero kissed Azazel a last time before pull himself away from her. He ran a hand through his hair to brush straighten the mess in his hair.
"Well..." He nearly stumbled backwards over a box on the ground. "I still have much to practice on. You are too good."
His face was still blushing as he points back towards the kitchen.
"I should go clean up the mess." He turns away but quickly turns back and kissed her again before leaving.
Val coughed at Fredworthy and motioned for him to stop. The demon stands up and drags the man out towards the porch.
"I know your wife and yourself LOVE music, but...song bird does not. You've had her for 23 years! Do you not know ANYTHING about your OWN daughter. Or do you both refuse to accept her for who she is."
Val ruffled his hair and stared at Fredworthy.
"I enjoy her singing sometimes, but her parents enforcement of music upon her has caused the opposite effect. Stop mentioning music around her...or work. There's got to be something you two have in common that you both can talk about. Why do I even bother helping you two bond..."

Azazel chuckles as she watches him leave before trying to straighten her clothes and hair.
She leaves the pantry, intending to go out to the bar, until she spots the mess still in the kitchen and decides to assist. She gathers up the dishes and sets about washing them, humming softly.

"I guess your cake will have to wait another day." He smiled as he helped her dry the dishes. He dried his hands when they were done and returned to the bar area to find Susan sitting by herself with a mountain of empty bottles. Xhiero moved behind the counter and began to clean up the mess.

FrFthy's eyes narrow slightly at Val's lecture, and his voice lowers.
"Now listen, Boyo, while I do not object to you pursuing my daughter, you would do well not to overstep your bounds. You are in no place to lecture me. Now let's go back inside before Aelstra wonders where we've gone."
As he starts back towards the bar, he pauses for a moment and gives Val a slightly menacing look.
"And, the next time you try to seduce my daughter, don't do it in the middle of the god damned bar."
Grabbing Val by the collar of his robe, he drags the demon back inside and angrily pours himself a drink.
Finally, he looks over at Susan with a frown.
"I've upset you."
"No. I'm. Fine." Susan says looking away scowling darkly.
Fredworthy chuckles and gently grabs her chin forcing her to meet his gaze.
"That lie was ridiculously obvious. What have I always told you about lying?"

"You know, you usually follow that rule quite well. Your silver tongue has impressed me ever since you were a little girl. Remember that time with the burglar when you were 10?"

Looking away from her Father, Susan finally notices the drow behind the bar.
She is slightly alarmed, but remembering their proximity to Craze's lab, Susan takes a stab in the dark and addresses the drow.

"Yes, yes." Val waved off the topic. He looks back at the bar and grabbed Azazel's hand. Val dragged her towards the bar and seated her down. Val sat between Susan and Azazel. He reached out for a bottle and takes a drink from it.

Azazel frowns as she's pulled to the bar and plops onto a stool. She turns her attention to the rows of bottles behind the bar, eying them with wariness and curiosity. She teleports behind the bar and starts looking at the labels more closely, stopping at one with chocolate in the name.
Grabbing a glass, she pours some out and sniffs it tentatively before taking a sip.

"A little daring today, aren't we?" Xhiero grabbed the bottle and pours his own glass. He leaned against the back counter and drinks from his glass.

"Oh, that. It's not a story worth telling..." Susan attempts to dismiss the subject only to be foiled by Fredworthy.
"Nonsense! It is a wonderful story!" Fredworthy bellows ruffling Susan's hair again.
"Ally and I went out on the town one evening, leaving Aelstra in the care of her nanny. Now, it isn't exactly unusual for assassins and kidnappers to target the children of influential people, but we were confident in the safety of our home.
So imagine our dismay at coming home to find our front door broken down and our nanny dead in the hallway. There was a trail of destruction leading up the stairs, I raced up heart in my throat terrified of what I'd find. When I finally reached the top of the stairs I found her.... grinning like the cat that ate the canary pointing a remote at a terrified burglar as he read her a bedtime story.
After he was dispatched, I asked Aelstra what happened. She proudly presented her remote and announced: 'I used this to make the dining room table burst into flames. Then I pointed it at him and told him he was next.'
'But Songbird,' I said 'I thought that toy of yours only burned wood.'
She smiled at me, eyes full of mischievous glee and said
'Yes daddy, but he didn't know that!'"
"I never called you 'daddy'" Susan grumbles.
