    Vasani grabs her bottle of rum and takes a drink before holding it out and shaking it at Sloan.

    "However I am afraid that I can't leave you be until you forgive me. For some reason, the thought of you continuing to hate me causes me a great deal of... pain." She frowns to herself. "And the idea that I caused you pain causes me even more."

    Sloan smiled and took the bottle from her hand. He took a short drink and handed it back to her. The Drow stands up and pats the dirt from his clothes.

    "You should head back to your friends before they think of you as a traitor for being with me this long. Your company was very pleasurable, love. Thank you."

    Noticing Vasani she switches from talking in her head to talking out loud, still listening for Aden's response.


    "Oh, you've returned. I trust you had fun." She says barely looking up from her spot on the bed.

    "I informed Aden that we would no longer be sharing a bed on this journey. He took it well enough... if a bit incredulously. At least, until he realized I came to this decision because of something Sloan said, then he reacted quite negatively." 


    She absently touches the cut on her cheek, frowning when she sees it is still bleeding.


    "I am fairly sure he hates me now. Funny, I'm quite used to being hated, but for some reason the thought of him doing so bothers me a great deal..."

    Vasani frowns and pulls Susan into a hug. "I'm sorry."

    She climbs off the bed to go grab a first aid kit, returning to patch up Susan's cut. "I didn't realize Aden hated Sloan so much. Still.. that's no excuse to take it out on you though. Especially since you seem to hate him just as much."

    Aden hears a voice in the back of his mind again.
    "You're ignoring me. Very well, I shall leave you alone for now. However, be aware that I have run across Vasani, but Sloan is unaccounted for. Please be careful, call me if you need help, and try your best not to turn up dead. I'll be quite upset with you if you do."




    Susan stiffens slightly at the hug, but does not pull away.


    When did my life become filled with so much hugging?


    "It would seem that not attempting to murder him on sight is just as bad as being Sloan as far as Aden is concerned." Susan laughs somewhat bitterly "He was so upset that I 'valued Sloan's opinion'. When I tried to explain that this was untrue, my injury happened."


    She frowns before continuing.


    "It would seem that Sloan's choice of career has brought up some incredibly painful memories for him."

    "I wish I knew what to do, but this seems to be out of my wheelhouse. I guess I could try talking to him, but I would imagine I'd be a less welcome sight than you were."

    Vasani finishes bandaging Susan's cut and packs the first aid kit away. "If he's going to just hurt you though, you shouldn't go near him."

    "However, it feels.... wrong to leave him alone. This whole thing has him so paranoid. He's holed up somewhere angry and afraid. You can't just sit by yourself and let the anger and fear fester that way, you know? You start to lose yourself to those feelings. I wish I was better at this whole having friends thing, maybe then I'd know what to do."


    She scowls slightly and rubs her cheek.
