"Yes, just a little tired, but it is nothing to worry about." He gave her a reassuring smile. Xhiero tried to arch up to give her a kiss but the armor was in the way. He looks like a poor turtle that is upside down and helpless.

He dropped his head back down on the pillow and sigh.

"Yup, the downfall to armor..."

"Fine. Having some energy and rest before a battle is better then nothing." He waits for Azazel to slide off before sitting up. Xhiero walked over to his desk and slips out a piece of paper. He handed it to her and lands a kiss on her lips before climbing back into the bed. Doing his best to hide his armor under blankets before drifting off to sleep.

Azazel smirks at the drawing and shakes her head before stashing it in her desk with the rest of the drawing Xhiero had given her.

Once Xhiero was tucked away in bed, she retakes her seat in the corner and waits, eyes constantly scanning the room.

An hour passed then two. Nothing happened and eventually night arrive. Azazel hears something tap against the window of the room. It pop opened but nothing immediately came in.

Even though it was quiet. There is faint footsteps near the door. The door know clicks and slowly turns.

Looking around the house she frowns slightly at the silence.

"Yes, let's check on them." She agrees heading towards Azazel's room.

As Val and Susan approach Azazel's room, the rattling of the door knob stopped. However they had left before the couple arrived. Val knocked on the door, listening for any sound inside.

"Azi, are you in there? It's Big brother and Suzie."

Azazel sighs and moves away from the door, allowing him entry.

"We have been expecting more men to come and try to take Xhiero," she says quietly to not wake Xhiero. She goes on to tell him the rest of the events of the day; the poison and subsequent healing, Sloan's visit and warning, and their plans lure them out into the forest.

"Hmm, I can go scout the house. Susan should stay here with you guys." Val looked over at Xhiero's sleeping form and then back to Azazel.

"We should probably wake him up if they were here. Don't want him to run to the forest half asleep."

The demon turned towards the door and went to scout the house.

The suit seems to make Val uncomfortable to do his sneaky things. He walks around the house anyways to check.

He returns later and plops down on the ground.

"I didn't see anything...maybe I should change out of this tight outfit..." Val starts removing his tie and outer jacket, flinging it into a corner.

Xhiero rolled over to the side and pulled the cover over his head.

"5 more minutes..." He mumbled.

The window closest to the bed shattered, spraying glass shards into the room. Val instantly sat up and pulled out his sword. His attention was too focus on the window that he did not notice the group forming behind him at the door way. One of the men flings a dagger towards Val's back.

At the window three men jumped in. All wearing black, hooded cloaks. Each had a crossbow out and aimed it at Azazel.
