    "So, I was riiiiight." Susan teases with a singsong voice.

    "As the one who broke in without permission, you are hardly in a position to act as if others are bothering you, dear. Besides you're in my favorite room."


    Lexa finally returns with some bread and butter and politely places it on the bar in front of Sloan. Tail once again waving happily over being useful.

    Val who was glaring at Sloan the entire time suddenly noticed a warm plate on his hands and Azazel next to him.

    "Huh?" He forks up a piece and puts it into his mouth. His eyes widen at the flavors. Tears begin to stream down his cheek.

    "A-Azi...you finally made something edible and delicious. I am so happy for you." Val forked up a piece and put it towards Susan's mouth.

    "Taste it! Azi made it!"

    Sloan watched as they fawn over an omelet. He takes an even longer drink from his bottle.

    "Thanks, kid." He flips her a gold coin and takes a bite out of the bread.

    "These adults are more childish then you."

    "There is more in the kitchen." Azazel grins and starts to head back into the kitchen, smacking Sloan on the back of his head on the way.

    She takes a seat next to Xhiero, already thinking of what she wants to try to cook next.

    "Your sister cooked edible food without burning down the kitchen, very nice." Susan says blinking in slight confusion as Val weeps and obediently takes a bite. "It... tastes nice?"

    She looks over at Sloan to see if this sudden bout of madness has struck him as well.



    Lexa beams at Sloan as he compliments her, but passes the gold coin back.

    "Ow! What was that for? Does the truth hurt?" He yelled back at Azazel before she vanished to the other room.

    Sloan frowned as the gold was passed back to him. He does not take it back but leaves it on the counter.

    "What is wrong with you? Most children would take that coin. Don't you have things you want like toys and candy?"

    "You don't understand how life changing this moment is for Azazel." Val frowned and forked up another piece and popped it into Susan's mouth. Trying to get her to eat more.

    Xhiero had finished his plate by the time she returned and was starting on a second serving. He glanced over at her enjoying how happy she looked. His heart felt fluttery, something he was not use to. He continue to eat in silence not wanting to disturb her.

    Lexa looks a bit confused, and shakes her head.

    "You know I've never been as driven by food as you are." She sighs and obediently takes another bite before turning and taking a long swig of her drink. "It is delicious dear. Your sister is very talented."

    Sloan shrug.

    "Suit yourself." He continue to eat until the plate was empty and moves back to his drink.

    "What do you do around here for fun. I haven't seen you around."

    "Of course. Alcohol was more of your thing, but that tiny body of your's could use some nutrients." Val waved his fork around in the hair with a piece of the omelet still impaled on it. He puts it into his mouth and finished the plate. Moving to the kitchen to wash the dish and getting some time away from the Drow.

    "No, but your presence certainly does," Azazel yells back at Sloan.

    She gets up and grabs a cookbook, flipping through it. As she reads, she keeps sending glances over at Xhiero, pleased he seems to be enjoying her cooking.

    Lexa mimes opening a book with her hands and pretends to read it.


    "It functioned well enough when powered only by booze and cigarettes before, but I suppose I don't mind the occasional solid meal, as long as you prepare it. " She laughs.

    Watching him walk to the kitchen with a fond smile she grabs herself another drink.

    "Then take this gold and go buy yourself more books. What a weird kid. Instead of playing you spend time reading." Sloan grunts as he continue to drink. Realizing that Susan was still around. He grab several bottles before heading outside.

    Sloan made himself comfortable on the porch and continue drinking.

    "If his presence bothers you, shall I do something about it?" Xhiero stood up to add to Val's wash load and heads towards the bar only to find the Drow had disappeared.

    "Well..he's not there anymore."

    Val returned to the bar and sat down next to Susan. He stared at the shelves of liquor before gazing out towards a window.

    "I am bored..."

    Sloan was busy drinking while staring at the sky. He felt something at his side and turned to find Lexa, staring at him.

    "You should start charging them for each bottle they drink." Xhiero pulled out his sending stone and muttered something into it before putting it away.

    Azazel wraps her arms around his waist and grins up at him, still in a good mood. "That is useful. I was going to ask for your help considering I know very little about liquor, but I will still pay for it since they are my guests."

    "She did say there was another task required of us... However, I think we just kind of ignored it, didn't we?" Susan admits a bit sheepishly.

    "I suppose..." She murmurs an idea suddenly occuring to her.

    "If you are that bored..." She leans over and kisses his neck. "We could always..." Another kiss. "Go on a little vacation..."

    "Nope. This is also my home now is it not?" He smirk. "The supplies will come in a few days and there is nothing you can do about it."

    Val grinned at Susan.

    "Vacation. I never been on a vacation before." He catches her lips and kissed her passionately.

    "Where do you have in mind? Some place far away from fiancees and kidnappers?"

    "Even you are going to keep bugging me about causing trouble. Perhaps another day but today is not the day." He leaned his head against the wall and stared up at the sky.

    "Don't you have something else better to do?" The Drow growled at Lexa hoping it would scare her away.

    "Bored already? You had your fun yesterday fighting more then 30 people. Should I let Sloan kidnap me so you have something to keep you busy?"

    Lexa doesn't look at all perturbed, settling instead for smiling at Sloan as her tail swishes back and forth.


    "We'd have to go to the ends of the earth to escape them completely!" Susan chuckles.

    "However, perhaps we could vacation at some quaint seaside village. That is the type of place people vacation in, isn't it? Or would you prefer a place filled with vineyards and spas? Or perhaps some huge city with gambling and houses of ill repute?"

    "I prefer not go go to the huge city."

    Sloan looked at Lexa one last time. Shooting her a cold glare before turning his attention back to his drinks.

    "Hmm any suggestions? Other wise I would say the mysterious box that you were touching earlier."
