    Xhiero does as she had told them and climbs onto her back.

    "We can go back to the ship if you do not wish to spend the night in the castle." He whispered to her and stroke her head.

    "I am built to take damage. Do not worry about it." Xhiero frowned and pinked Lexa's cheek.

    "Don't ever throw yourself in front of me again. If I die, I can always come back. Do you understand young lady?"

    Azazel takes off through the woods and backwards the castle. She's briefly tempted to run through the city proper, just for the sake of freaking out the townsfolk, but ends up taking everyone back to the tunnel.

    She lays down again and waits for everyone to climb down before shifting back into her human form.

    Lexa frowns disapprovingly at Xhiero's orders.


    A firm expression on her face she scribbles another note.


    [If I can prevent my friends from getting hurt because of me, I will. I am a tool, helping to protect those bound to me is part of my function.] 


    Her firm expression is erased however when Azazel starts running. Hanging on tightly she makes a delighted sound in the back of her throat. Happily, she climbs off when they come to a stop and she strokes Azazel's fur gratefully.

    The King also dismounts and thanks Azazel before summoning several servants to ready rooms for the group.

    "I think I will return to the ship," Azazel mutters quietly and starts to walk back to the ship to leave Xhiero to his parenting, the conversation a little too close for comfort.

    She stops at a couple shops along the way, picking up some food, before boarding the ship and heading into her room.

    Lexa frowns at Xhiero, but hugs him tightly before scurrying away.


    She returns soon afterwards with a heaping plate of fried chicken, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes for Xhiero and Azazel along with two slices of peanut butter pie. Presenting the food to them, her tail twitches happily, but she frowns when she notices Azazel's absence.

    Xhiero patted Lexa on the head.

    "Azazel isn't one who likes to be around other people. Don't be sad."

    "I think I will return to the ship too. Thank you for your offer of food and place to stay." Xhiero bowed to the king and turned around to head back to the ship.

    Lexa frowns at all of the food she brought and sets it down. She'll just eat later. Bowing to the king apologetically, she follows in what she hopes is the right direction.... stupid tall people.


    Perception 4 for finding a party member without getting lost.

    Within the safety of her room, Azazel changes into some light clothes and sits on her bed to eat, take-out containers spread all around her.

    Lexa easily spots Xhiero and follows at a respectful distance behind him, mostly because the combination of short legs and her injuries makes it difficult to keep up.

    Xhiero felt someone following him and turned around to find Lexa. He turned around and lifted her onto his shoulder before returning to the ship. Xhiero dropped her down when they reached the deck of the ship and examine her for wounds. He cast cure wounds on her and patted her head before walking to Azazel's room. Knocking on the door and waiting for her reply.

    "What now?" Azazel grumbles and carefully climbs out from behind her wall of food to answer the door.

    "Oh, it is you." She offers Xhiero a smile and steps away from the door to let him in.

    "Yes..its me..." He replied. "Were you expecting someone else?"

    Xhiero stared at the mountain of food in her room before turning to gaze at Azazel. He decided to spare her the lecture and sat down next to her bed. Xhiero leaned his back against the mattress.

    "I would have figured you would just come in by now." She climbs back on the bed. "I was prepared to scare someone away when I heard the knock."

    She picks at one of the plates and motions Xhiero to take what he wants. "You are not staying in the castle?"

    He turned around and rest his chin on the edge of the mattress.

    "Why would I stay at the castle when you are here." He lazily reached out and picked up a slice of cake with his claw like gauntlet. Xhiero slides back down the matress and quietly ate his dessert.

    Lexa hears footsteps pass by her and fade away towards the guest rooms.
