Etheyl gets up with a shaky sigh and helps Lexa to her feet. "Sorry if I hurt you at all, I didn't think you were going to make it past in time."
After Xhiero's brief interrogation, Etheyl again eyes him suspiciously. Even if he wasn't overtly violent or dangerous, she'd guess he's holding back.
"You'd been referring to them a lot." She kneeled down to eye level. She talks just loud enough to be heard over the couple's handiwork in the hall. "But you just switched to us. You're part of this place, but also different. What is it your king had to do here? We are trying to help you. But we need to know what's going on here that's so out of the ordinary, and I can tell you know it isn't entirely normal."

The guards who were previously staring at nothing all turn their attention to Azazel simultaneously, three swing at her with their swords, the other 3 prepare to attack Xhiero.

Lexa points at one guard and sends a guiding bolt in his direction! And hits for 15 damage! One of the guards is now glowing beautifully, and any attacks against him have advantage.
"Your friend is getting attacked and you are interrogating me now?!" The boy asks, slightly aghast.
"I... I don't really... remember. I've always been different, felt the passage of time when it seems like no one else noticed, had some degree of free will. Do you know what it is like to be the only person with free will in a world filled with mindless drones? I've been alone for so long... Why does this make my head hurt so much?!"
The boy seems genuinely confused, and in some sort of physical distress, as if the more he thinks about it, the more it hurts.

Each of Azazel's guards manage to get an attack in, dealing a total of 29 damage!
One of the guards attacking Xhiero seems to have slightly better reflexes than the others and Xhiero ends up taking a total of 36 damage!

"They are robots. Trying to talk would be a waste of time."
Azazel grabs Xhiero by the arm and pulls him away from the robots before reaching around her neck for a beaded necklace. She pulls off one of the beads and holds it in the palm of her hand, the bead beginning to grow and smolder, before throwing it at the group of robots.
