    Layla smiled at them.

    "We would be heading back the same way anyways. I think it would be safe to have Lexa sit in the passenger seat. Damian doesn't understand what slow and safe is." She opened the side door for Lexa to hope in and buckled her up.

    "I can sit in the back of the truck." Xhiero said as he climbed into the back and sat down.

    "There's still some seats in the back." She opened a second pair of doors and waved for Azazel and Etheyl to enter.

    "Some of them are just scratches. You don't have to worry about all of them." Val saind as he winced a bit.

    Lexa settles in and smiles warmly at Damien, practically vibrating with excitement. However, she does notice that he has very pretty eyes.


    "Well, darling, I am supposed to be helping you feel better. Please direct me to the areas that require attention." Susan demands with a slight pout.

    Damian let out a grunt at the extra company and ignores Lexa who was seated next to him.

    "Where are we going now?" He asked Layla in a cold voice.

    "The library I believe. Correct me if I am wrong." She squeezed into the back with Azazel and Etheyl before closing the door.

    Azazel grunts at the tight fit and tries to scoot farther away, pressing up against the side of the truck. Should have sat in the back. "Right. The library."

    "Hold on.." Damian said quietly as he started the truck. He stepped on the gas as the vehicle jerked forward harshly and sped towards the town. It was very bumpy and swerve ride but they made it into the town. The truck drifted to a stop in front of the library.


    Layla popped the door open and got out. She opened the door for Lexa and helped her out of the seat. Smoothing out the child's hair and patted her on the head.

    "I wish you the best of luck on you missions. Hopefully we will see each other soon." She smiled and waved to the group.

    Azazel climbs out of the truck as quick as possible and mutters a "Thanks." to Damian. She gives Layla a wave as she heads up the steps and into the library.

    Lexa is s bundle of enthusiasm the entire ride, gasping with delight. When they come to a stop, she grins gratefully at Damien for the ride.


    She nods her thanks to Layla and with a warm smile, waves goodbye, waiting for the rest of the group to gather.




    "Not going to answer my question?" Susan's pout grows and she leans closer to kiss his neck, careful to avoid his injuries.


    "How can I ensure you get quality care if you ignore my questions?"


    Shaking her head and clucking disapprovingly, she continues cleaning Val's injuries.

    Xhiero hopped out of the truck and followed after the group into the library.

    "Sorry, I must have spaced out." He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her down. Val nuzzled his head against her's as his eyelids grew heavy.

    "It has been a long day..."

    Etheyl smiles at their chauffeurs, thanks them for the ride, and wishes them the best.

    Smiling down at Lexa, she asks, "First truck ride huh? Someday we'll get Leo to take you on some rides. He's a bit of a vehicle nerd." She climbs the stairs after Azazel. "He's even got a lil' plane...it's practically his seventh kid. It's scary to go in the first time, though. And even a couple times after."

    Lexa heads to the exact center of the library and begins drawing a magic circle on the floor.


    Once it is finished, Lexab sits down within it and gestures for Azazel and Etheyl to sit down as well.



    "Then go to sleep!" Susan commands. "Nurse's orders."

    Etheyl takes a quick glance around the library. Hopefully anyone here was absorbed enough in their reading to not care about a girl 'vandalizing' the library or some weirdos doing some cult ritual. Or just, you know, didn't really mind.

    But with a nod at Lexa, she gets down on her knees inside the circle without concern, then sinks into a sitting position.

    Etheyl definitely looks more focused and a tad more serious than normal. There's even a certain reverence about her.

    "Restraining you would prevent you from moving around! Eventually the boredom will win out and you'll fall asleep!" Susan declares posing dramatically.


    "Unless you would rather I just drug you?" She asks lifting her skirt to reveal a syringe strapped to her thigh.




    Taking their hands, Lexicon closes her eyes and begins silently muttering something. The muttering stops and a glow begins to escape from beneath her eyelids.


    Her grip tightens and Etheyl and Azazel both begin to feel a burning in the palms of their hands. Blood begins to drip down Lexa's chin, (it would seem she bit though her lip), and the burning the two women are experiencing becomes painfully intense for a split second before vanishing. The mark has been transferred! 


    Lexa releases the women and immediately falls over and curls up in a ball.

    Her tendency towards compassion overpowering the strong urge to examine her hand, Etheyl immediately scoots next to Lexa to check on her. She smooths back the girl's hair and places a hand on her shoulder. With her free hand, she takes a clean cloth out of a medical kit she apparently stashed in her pouch, and presses it gently to the bleeding lip.

    "Is there anything I can do for you...? Do you want me to bring Xhiero to try healing?"

    Looking worried, though not exactly surprised, Etheyl looks up at Azazel. "What about you? Are you feeling alright? I imagine you felt that...searing too?"

    "So it is a lose lose situation for me?" He sat up and stared at her.

    "You can bound me or drug if I simple run away!" Val pounced off the bed and made a run towards the door.

    Azazel nods and gets to her feet. "I am fine. I will go get Xhiero."

    She heads over to wherever Xhiero was hiding and tugs him back towards the others. "Lexa probably needs healing."
