    Lexa nods and instructs her new friend to stay put before wandering inside and passing Susan a note.

    [Mr. Val has gone on a walk.]

    With that she heads into her bedroom and grabs a particularly large tome and carrying it back outside, leaning against the statue as she reads.


    "Goodness, it would seem I've chased everyone in the house away." Susan chuckles as she takes another sip of her drink.

    "Is my company truly that unbearable?"

    "This is true. I was never good at rules." Azazel swirls her finger through the chocolate on the plate, smirking. "Perhaps I should turn over a new leaf. Be good. I will start with following Craze's rule and keeping my hands to myself. Then poor Xhiero will be safe."



    Riorden shrugs. "Do you not have a way to contact the ones that are missing to check up on them?"

    "Well, one was just hiding out here, so I am not overly shocked by her absence. The other two seem to intentionally remain hard to contact, of course, they are also both quite adept at stealth, so they could be in the room right now without us realizing it."

    She rolls her eyes slightly in exasperation at this and downs her drink.

    "It is kind of like when a cat goes missing, you don't really bother looking for them, you just have to wait until they deign to grace you once again with their presence."

    "I am afraid Xhiero has turned a new leaf and slowly becoming a bad boy. He might not be able to keep his hands off of you instead." He wrapped his hand around her wrist and pulled her hand towards his mouth. Putting the chocolate covered finger into his mouth and sucking it clean.

    "Now, how would you like to return to town? I can walk you there, or we can use a dimensional door. The door is faster, plus it is a magic door, which is amazing, but walking means you get to spend more time in my wonderful company."

    Susan flutters her eyelashes dramatically with a laugh.

    "Preferences?"

    Riorden scowls when Susan pokes his cheek and leans away. "I will take the door. I would like to get to town sooner rather."


    "I had meant good luck with making me blush, but I can probably help with the bad thing too." Azazel smirks and splits the last bite of cake in half, eating one part and then sliding the plate in front of Xhiero.

    "Home is fine." She frowns and runs a hand over her face. "I imagine we can not stay here much longer what with the people we left back in Kevash. So we might as well take advantage of being here while we can."


    Riorden nods and stands from his seat. He holds his arm out to gesture Susan to lead. "I appreciate your hospitality and the, albeit brief, tour about town. It was very.. interesting."
