Val happily made it back but quickly stopped in his path when he saw Susan. He fumbled to adjust the bottle inside his shirt and walked with confidence towards the front door.
"What are you doing out here? Taking a break?"

"I was concerned when you ran off to town without your sending stones or weapons without telling me." Susan says, pouting slightly.

"I was trying to make lunch and then I realized I was missing an ingredient. I can take care of myself." He pouts back and walks past her.
"I am a grown demon man after all." Val quickly paced towards the kitchen and climbed onto his stool. He filled a glass with booze and carried the tray back to her work place. Setting it down on table and waving her over to eat.

"Oh that?" Susan asks turning to look at the machine.
"That is just an engine for an airship, I believe. One of mother's favorite clients mentioned that he needed some adjustments made to it, so of course mother sent it my direction." She muses as she stares at the thing.
"Now I'll just have to call Mother, and someone will come along to pick it up."

"That is impressive. You could probably upgrade the Hellraiser if you wanted to. Although that would be too much work." He let out a small yawn and rest his head against her shoulder.

Susan laughs quietly before gently scooping Val up and laying him in bed. She tucks him in and smooths his hair before straightening. She looks around the room boredly before leaving a note on the nightstand.

Azazel stretches out as she wakes and tosses the mound of blankets she buries herself in aside, far too hot now in the day's heat. Rolling over, she finds Xhiero still asleep and rests her chin on his chest as she flicks his hair out of his face.

"What am I? A child?" Val muttered as he put the note aside and slide off the bed. He grabbed his weapon and sending stone before returning bursting out the front door. His eyes scanned the scrap of paper in his hand as he headed off towards the marketplace.

The front door of the bar slams open as a group of men walk in.
"Hey fellahs, look at this cute little thing we picked up at the market!" One of them held up a child dangling from the back of his shirt.
