RP Free for All: Chapter 18

Azazel awkwardly returns the hug as best she can with bound wrists and rests her head against Xhiero's shoulder.



Sloan's little bundle of demon in the closet is wiggling around frantically and muttering angrily against the apple he had shoved in his mouth.

Ivan stops his wiggling and jerks his head in the direction of Sloan's voice. However, since he is still blindfolded, it doesn't really do much for him.

After a moment of consideration, Ivan reluctantly nods his head.

He coughs and groans after finally being freed from the apple. "I know a lot of things. You might want to be more specific."

"I was approached by one of the King's knights. Said the King had an offer for me." Ivan tries to push away from the dagger at his neck. "They needed a demon to play the role of a witness in some trial and kill the demon being 'tried'. Initially, I told them to fuck off. I didn't want to get messed up any faerie bullshit."

"But when they told me who they were setting up, I couldn't refuse. Your precious friend is a bitch and deserves whatever the faeries are trying to hang her for."

"She killed me!" He growls out and turns his head away before continuing more quietly. "And my mortal lover.. So, yes. I have encountered her before."

Ivan tries to wiggle into a more comfortable position with a sigh. "It was a couple hundred years ago. She claimed to have a contract for me. I, of course, put up a fight, but lost. As she was going for the killing blow, my lover tried to stop her."

"Your friend cut her down before turning back to kill me."

He jerks at Sloan's sudden closeness. "I thought she was your friend. Why would you want her to suffer?"

Ivan clenches his jaw. "Who? Where is he?"

"I take it this means you will let me go."

"Fine, but how am I supposed to find them once they leave the wilds?"

"You aren't being exactly helpful considering you're trying to get me to do your dirty work for you."

Ivan laughs. "You're just a mortal. You can't kill me. Not for good."

"Throw me at her and I'll tell her how you're plotting against her lover and just using her for your own means." He grins broadly.

"I think I've told you enough. Figure it out on your own."
