"Why would they serve something disgusting?" He gladly accepted the drink and downed it.
"Showing affection and ties is a sign of weakness, especially for a man like him. He was never much for the friendly type. Could be something that happened in his past." The red head smiled at the glass in his hand.
"I spent most of my life like a caged animal. Human interaction was rare. When I met the Cap't, he accepted me into his crew without question. I think that was the best day ever in my life. Someone who was willing to take me in...and have a place to call home."

"We stumbled into a bad situation and the Cap't got badly wounded. It was hard to find a clinic that was open that late. Most were to afraid to open their door, but she did. She took care of him for a few weeks and he never stopped coming back."

Decision made she stands, purchases a bottle of wine, then pulls out her remote and steps through a dimensional door into Talia's living room.
"Hey, I don't know if you actually drink but I br- What happened here? Did you flash another innocent young lady, Sloan?"

Talia poked her head back into the living room and quietly waited for a lull in the conversation before saying, "Dinner is finished, if you are hungry."
In her quaint kitchen sits a dining table, nestled into a little breakfast nook. On the tabletop sat a platter of spaghetti and meatballs, a large loaf of garlic bread, and a bowl of fresh greens, with a vase of colorful flowers sitting front and center.
"I apologize that it's not all that much." She offered Susan an apologetic smile. "Next time you visit I'll have time to prepare something fancier."

"I don't normally, but this is a special occasion! I'll get some glasses." She heads over to a cabinet and peers up at the top shelf. She stretches up on her tippy toes and tries to grab the glasses.
"I don't know why I put those up so high," she mutters to herself as she scrambles up on the counter.
