"Oh, yes. At least until he went away for his sentinel training." Vasani chuckles and takes a long drink. "Of course, there wasn't much else to do on Red Terrace growing up."

"I can't imagine the torture of living in such a small community. Not that I saw much of the city growing up, unless I snuck out. Usually too busy with my lessons." She shrugs slightly and takes another drink.

Vasani lifts an eyebrow and looks at Susan in confusion. "How many lessons did you have that you couldn't spend some time out in the city?"

"They seemed endless when I was younger. Reading, writing, arithmetic, history, learning different languages, psychology, philosophy, public speaking, etiquette, dancing, business, art, and of course the damned constant music lessons, constant fucking music lessons." Laughing she takes another sip of her drink.

Vasani shrugs. "There isn't much to tell. Since our town is so small I spent most of my time climbing, fighting, stealing, or just causing trouble in general. Tabby and Gideon did their best to try and make me behave, but boredom always won out."

"Eventually I joined the scouts which helped a bit, but once I was old enough I left to find more exciting prospects."

"Oh, yes!" Vasani grins and gets an excited glint in her eye. "I've been able to see and do so much. I got a great crew and can go anywhere I want on a whim. I couldn't ask for anything more."

"What about you? Are you pleased with your lot in life?"

Susan ponders this for a moment.

"It has it's good and bad points I suppose. I love the business side of things, manipulating people, brokering deals, finding interesting and amusing solutions to problems. I also find great joy in creating things, and now that mother has realized how profitable my creations can be, she has allowed me more freedom to explore that. Yet, I'm almost constantly being watched, and I'm expected to fulfil several obligations that I'd rather not have anything to do with. Marrying my cousin Fernando, for example.

However, I'm constantly trying to find a way around those challenges, and once I do everything will change for me." She grins. "Besides, having access to large sums of wealth is pretty fucking awesome."

Vasani wrinkles her nose at the mention of Susan's arranged marriage. "Does your family not like Fluffy?"

The wheels in Vasani's head seem to be turning. "What if you conned your cousin into marrying someone else? Or killed him assuming you aren't overly attached to him."

"Father likes Val a great deal, and mother must not hate him. When she gassed him she only used the sleeping gas not the poison gas." Susan sighs slightly.

"Fernando's wealth is pretty tied up in marrying me, so he is unlikely to marry someone else, although that would be wonderful. And, my mother correctly assuming that I would indeed murder Fernando has decreed that if he dies prematurely, even if it does not seem to be my fault, I will lose my inheritance." A dark scowl crosses her face.

"However! My parents did say if I found someone I'd rather marry instead before the time limit, they'd consider ending the engagement. That solution used to seem like the most impossible one of all, now.... not so much." There is a small smile as she sips her drink.

"At this point?" Susan pauses to do some calculations. "About a year and a half from now. So, I've still got a bit of time. although this Lich situation is certainly eating into it... Why did you agree to come on this mission anyways?"

Aden effortlessly avoids the traps. Wow, maybe he really is as good at this as he claims!

He finds himself on a small balcony that overlooks the hallway you were just in, there is a plain door on the other side of it.

Once again, a dare seems to be proving no match for Aden. Susan will be sorely disappointed. Unlocking the door with ease, Aden finds himself in another hallway, this time with 7 doors!

    .... AND A GIANT FIREBALL!

Aden dodges the fireball in the knick of time! What door shall he go through now?
