She nuzzles the top of Val's head before leaping back up on the bed and looks down at him. "I would offer to heal you, but I am far more likely to make it worse."




    "You sure you do not want me to pick a fight? Just a little one?"

    In an act of supremely poor timing Susan chooses this moment to wander in arms laden with drinks.

    "Hey guys, since you seem to have sequestered yourselves I thought I'd bring some drinks. I've got vodka for me, ale for Azazel, and juice for Val. The bartender was shocked that I ordered something non al-...."


    Susan senses that the tension in the room has changed.

    "....something up?"

    He almost suggest a rematch to duel Azazel but Susan barged in. Val flopped over on his side and motioned for Azazel to hush.

    It would be more entertaining to mess with Susan when she didn't know who he was.Val tried to change the subject by darted towards Susan and pawing at her leg. "Juice! I love juice." He wagged his tail waiting for her to place the glass onto the floor.

    Azazel sniffs at the offered ale before sneezing and turning away from it. She curls up on the corner of the bed and watches Susan. "Who is your new companion?"

    Susan blinks momentarily confused at Azazel's question before she remembers the large man waiting silently.

    "Oh! This is one of my new employees! We kind of wiped out the black market the other day, and I thought we could rebuild. Skull Crusher this is Azazel, don't mind the fluffiness, she is quite dangerous."


    Skull Crusher nods politely at Azazel. He'd question the fact that a pretty girl turned into a fox, but he doesn't get paid to ask questions. He hasn't been paid yet at all actually...

    Azazel lets out a sharp bark of laughter, leaps off the bed and shifts back to her usual form. She stalks close to Skull Crusher and leans in close to his face. "Oh, I like you." She grins at him as she slips past him and through the door. "I'm going to get something to drink."

    Susan shrugs at Azazel's departure and hands Skull Crusher the rejected ale.

    "Congratulations on your popularity Mr. Skull Crusher. Word of advice, don't sleep with her. I just hired you, I don't want to replace you because you've been eaten by a giant snake."

    Susan turns to follow Azazel out the door.

    "Coming Mr. Skull Crusher? Val?"

    Susan pauses to stare at Skull Crusher for a moment before grinning.

    "Hey, can you carry me down the stairs?"

    Skull Crusher nods and silently picks Susan up heading downstairs.

    "I knew this would be convenient!"

    Val was squeezing his muzzel through the glass to get to the juice at the bottom but failed. Now he a glass stuck to his face. He perked his head up when Susan said his name and vanished downstairs with Skull Crusher. He pawed the glass off and hopped down the stairs.

    Spotting Azazel sitting in a dark corner like she usually does he jumped onto the table and rolling onto his side. Val continued to nap.

    Skull Crusher gently sets Susan down on a seat at the table and stands behind the group.

    Susan stares at the sleeping Val and smirks.

    "I can't help but think this is probably unsanitary, but he looks so comfortable...."

    She pats Val softly on the head before ordering herself another drink.

    Susan groans with frustration. "You are technically not on duty yet. Do whatever you want, but don't complain to me afterwards... not that you'll be able to."

    Val's ears twitched at the voices. His head perked up and his body rose. Quietly leaping from the table he wandered around the room. If this situation was going lead to a giant snake smashing through the walls, he did not want to be nearby.

    The fox turned back to stare at Susan. "If you don't want to be the third wheel you are more then welcome to get some fresh air outside. No one is forcing you to sit there with those two." He said before heading towards the front of the building.

    Susan graces Skull Crusher with an approving smile before sighing.

    She motions for Skull Crusher to sit down.

    "I do not interfere with my employees' personal lives, no matter how short they may prove to be. Talk amongst yourselves."


    Susan stalks off after the fleeing fox.

    "Dammit, he had potential. Who is going to carry me up and down stairs now?"

    "Attempted to. She quickly showed us the error of our ways. Quite persuasive, that one, had most of the men filling out paperwork in seconds. Half of them can't even read!"

    He takes a swig of his ale before continuing.

    "You obviously aren't an employee, why are you traveling with her?"





    "Trust me, if I passed out Azazel would leave me exactly where I was."

    She pats his head as she continues to stroll.

    "I have no idea where we are headed, kind of wandering aimlessly at this point. By the way, the nuzzling is much less irritating in your current form, if you were trying to bother me. You do have the nauseating cuteness working for you though..."
