The forest looms darkly in front of the pair, a mysterious groaning noise emanates from within. Azazel spots a crossroads, the left leads to a babbling brook and the right leads to a dark and mysterious cave.

As Val exit the old lady's home. He stopped and looked towards the dark forest. He picks up Azazel's and xhiero's scent. There appears to be an unfamiliar scent as well.
"I think Xhiero and Azazel are here. We should quickly catch up to them." He told Susan as he quickly run towards the forest with a pie in hand.

Azazel and Xheiro can sense that there is something large within the cave, luckily, Val seems to be racing towards them, at least they won't be braving the darkness alone...

You are fairly certain that the ribbit is in fact coming from a frog. However, the growl that is also coming from within the cave is from something much... different.
As Val speaks, the ribbit ceases, but the growling gets louder, as if the creature is coming closer.
