"Xhiero is ill. Come." Azazel picks up Lexa and rapidly walks back into her bedroom, depositing the girl next to Xhiero before stepping back and nervously pacing out of the way.

Frowning with concern at Xhiero she places a hand to his forehead. Her hand and her eyes glow with a faint golden light as she casts Protection from Poison followed by Cure Wounds. Pulling her hand away she bites her lip and studies him anxiously.

"You remind me of a friend I have..." His eyes darted to the women then back at Cordell.
"Do you need a woman in your life or you just enjoy time with them?"
Xhiero weakly smiled at Lexa as she attempted to help him.
"Thanks, little one." He patted her on the head. Feeling quite better from the poison but he was still feeling fatigue. Xhiero bit his lip as he watched Lexa.
"This house might not be safe anymore. Would you like to go somewhere else that is safer for the time being?"

"Well, I need SEVERAL women in my life!" The musician chuckles before summoning a pair of roses out of thin air and handing one to a mother and one to her young daughter as well.

Val needent have wasted time locating Susan, because Cordell has already spotted her and letting out a low whistle made a beeline towards her.
"Mademoiselle, I must say you have chosen some unusual attire for a day at the fair.... Not that I mind..." He adds to the end of his statement as he takes a moment to stare down the top of her dress.
Susan blinks in mild surprise and confusion as a strange man suddenly appears out of nowhere and starts talking to her. Her surprise increases exponentially as he grabs the hand that isn't holding Val's drink and presses it to his lips.
Her eyebrow twitches in irritation.

"What shall we do? Dig a giant pit and cover it in leaves?" He walked to the window and looked outside. "It would be nice if we knew how they would approach us. Any suggestions?"

"That would have to be a very large pit to cover all the entrances." Azazel taps her lip as she thinks, once again cursing herself for not asking Sloan more questions about this invasion when she had the chance.
"We could barricade ourselves in a room with one entrance, the armory for instance would be a good choice, and set up traps leading to the door. They would also be all funneled through a single entrance and easy to pick off."

Val's friendly warning causes a few gears to start turning in Cordell's head.

As it clicks his eyes widen in surprise and he distractedly pushes Val out of the way.
"SUSAN EVENSONG!" He grins. "I thought you looked familiar! I've seen your picture in the papers a few times!" His eyes drift to the opening of her dress again.

"I... don't think you are one of..." She cringes slightly. "my bards... They usually avoid approaching me."

Susan frowns and considers setting the man on fire, but since she is still trying to gain a good corporate foothold in Kevash, she chooses not to.... reluctantly... instead opting for staring silently at the strange man.

"Perhaps, but are they actually tracking you somehow? Or do they just know that you stay here sometimes. If the latter then we would need to leave a trail as well, which in of itself could rouse suspicions."
