"O-okay?" Azazel watches him go, confused, but leave him be to do what he can. She heads back downstairs and moves behind the bar, pulling out her tea making kit to practice some more. She informs Susan and Metah of the plan, "Xhiero is going to contact the druids for us to see what is going on."

Hours passed and Xhiero did not come back. As the bar emptied towards the end of the night. The door quietly opened as Xhiero and Val returned to the bar.
"Both of us had a long day. We should get some rest." Xhiero patted Val on the shoulder and headed to his room.
The fox demon nodded to Xhiero with an emotionless face. He dragged himself to his room and quickly passed out.

Susan awoke from the corner of the bar she had dozed off in.
I suppose if I'm going to.sleep, I should do so in my room...
With a sigh she returns to the room and does a double take at the figure on the bed.
Did Xhiero do this? She wonders as she checks him for any injuries.
She practically sags with relief when he appears to be unharmed. Quietly she pulls a chair up next to the bed and watches him sleep..

Val awoke the next morning to find Susan at his bed side. He quickly sat up and stared at her shocked. Val reached out and gently caressed her cheek. Warm. Feeling relieved he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly.

"I.." Val couldn't seem to find the answer to her first questions. He sunk his head onto her shoulder, burying his face from view. "I am fine."

Susan sighs and kisses his head.
"You don't seem fine" she murmurs running a hand through his hair.
"I love you too, I'm glad you've returned." She pulls away slightly. "We should inform your sister of your return, she was quite worried."

When Azazel crawls out of whatever dark corner she had fallen asleep in, she immediately catches the scent of Val. "He is back?"
She makes her way up to his bedroom and is about to knock when she hears voices. Grimacing, she turns back around and goes down into the kitchen. Pulling out her kit, she makes some tea and starts slicing fruit for breakfast.

Val continued to look down at the ground and nodded. He slowly stood up and made his way downstairs. Seeing Azazel mixing tea and cutting fruit. He quietly approached his sister not saying a word. Val stood there for awhile opening his mouth and closing it. Finally he managed to say something.

Val almost felt his bones crushing and nearly passed out from her hug.
"I remember Fluffernutter came to get Susan for some meeting. Then she was jumped by bandits and taken away." He distanced himself from Azazel before he could get crushed again. "I was fighting him..felt like I almost died. Then...everything went blank."
He held himself and shivered.
"I felt so angry before I blanked out. Now my body is really exhausted...and this feeling of emptiness. I don't understand why." He looked at Azazel. "I woke up in a cell on Valen'Dora...Faye said that..I killed a lot of people..."

She lifts up a huge platter of fruit and sets it on the bar. Looks like Azazel went overboard with her chopping. "Get some food and rest. Spend some time with Susan. Reassure yourself that she is okay. You know where I will be if you need me."

He stuck his tongue out at Azazel as he scurried back upstairs with the bowl. Val returned to Susan in their room handed her the bowl. Picking up a piece and holding it in front of her.

Xhiero walked down the stairs and yawned. He sat down at the counter and noticed the large mound of fruits on a plate.

When Val leaves Susan rummages in her belongings for something. Emerging victorious she finds a small piece of paper and pens a quick note.
Quietly she drops the item, which turns out to be small bouquet of spooky lollipops and the note that merely reads "Thanks.", in front of Xhiero's door.
Satisfied, she returns to her room moments before Val arrives. As she presents the fruit she gives him an incredulous look.
Well... He has had a hard day...
Managing to only roll her eyes slightly Susan obediently opens her mouth.
"Ahhhh"

"Next time you decided to run off to a meeting...make sure you take me with you. Or at least train your interns better." He laid his head down on her lap.

Finally finished with her food preparation, Azazel leans against the bar with a cup of tea, absentmindedly popping bits of fruit in her mouth. "Human sciences are odd things however. Perhaps she found a way to thwart death. I could not tell you. To my knowledge she has not died, but we are not always together. "

"I... I don't recall agreeing to a meeting. I remember saying no. Then I remember waking up being carried by some strange men. I tried to escape and managed to set the majority of them aflame. I must have missed one though because I remember suddenly feeling a great deal of pain...and everything goes kind of blurry after that...."
