Rin sighs but doesn't say anything to Azazel. She makes her way through the door, making sure she is the first to enter. "Hello your majesty," she greets with a proper bow. "I do apologize terribly for the disturbance," she stands up straight and tall. "But we are in a bit of a hurry and do need your consistent, if it's not to much trouble."

Azazel stands back to let Rin handle the monarch. She instead decides to stare at the guard captain to see how long he can go without fidgeting under her gaze.

Susan glares up at Val but soon caves in, reaching up to scratch his ears.
"If you're that bored, you could help, you know."
The guard seems utterly unfazed by Azazel's attentions. Opting instead to smirk slightly before turning his gaze back into the room.
Rin makes her very charismatic greeting... to what appears to be an empty room.
The guard slaps a hand to his forehead and mutters "Dammit your majesty..."
At the same time a very young voice shrieks out:
"DEATH FROM ABOVE!"
The guard moves and prepares to catch the source of the shrieking.
Azazel, dexterity check please, with advantage because of guard man's assistance.
"If you're that bored, you could help, you know."

"Heeyyy, Jodrick, why'd you stop me? I almost had the intruder?!" A young man no more than 14 squeaks.
"They are guests, your majesty." Releasing the boy, Captain Jodrick turns to the group with a world weary sigh.

On the outside she's a picture of calm, with a large smile, but inside she dreading every moment. She bows to the king, "It is a great honor to meet you. My acquaintances and I," she pauses to gesture to everyone, "would humbly like to ask for a moment of your time, if we may."

Seeing that the one most likely to start stabbing people has moved away, Jodrick finds a different wall to lean against. Clearly exhausted, he still watches the group warily.

"Oh dear gods, he's a flirt. I don't need any more of those bastard in my life," Rin thinks as she continues to smile at the king.

The king frowns slightly at this.
"As much as I would like to help you. I cannot allow that. The Library has been sealed for a reason. It is incredibly dangerous, besides the traps protecting the place, the knowledge that can be found within the library has the potential to cause great harm in the wrong hands."

Jodrick glances over to Azazel with mild surprise, before sighing again.
"No, the state of this kingdom is a result of his father's madness. The young king only took over three months ago. His uncle, will be coming to help advise him, but he has yet to arrive... This has been the longest three months of my life..." He points to the group talking with the king.

Rin was mildly surprised to see that the king wasn't so easy to persuade. With a never faltering smile, she says, "My you are certainly a wise king. I do understand but knowledge must be shared and known. And I can assure you that we are not so weak as to fall pray to some traps. We have faced many great threats, including a Lich."

His gaze flicks to Lexa for a moment who is watching the King with interest.
"The boy is handling suddenly becoming a king as well as anyone. Perhaps better, considering that he is so young. But it wears on him, as it wore on his father. Madness calls to him, its in his blood. I want... to protect him from that."
The King stares at Rin for a moment silently.
"Sorry? Could you repeat that? I was too distracted by your beauty to pay attention."
Seeing Rin's expression, the boy laughs and holds up his hands.
"Kidding, kidding! Normally, I would never allow anyone into the library. Not after father went mad in there. However, if you guys really killed a lich, I'm sure you can handle it!"
With a grin he pulls a necklace off of his neck, it reveals itself to be a small key.
The end of the key is quite sharp, and he uses it to prick his finger. As the blood hits the key it begins to glow, and the young man smiles smugly.
"All set! You should be able to get in no problem! There will be less traps this way, but there will still be some, so be careful!"

Rin is stunned silence for a bit but takes the key. She clutches it close to her chest and smiles, her goal is in sight! She bows deeply to the king. "I thank you for generosity. I promise you, you're majesty, that we shall not disappoint you. I will personally see to it."
