Etheyl shakes her head. "No, it...it wasn't. I should...try to explain. Bear with me."
She tucks her legs up on the chair. "Limbo...the barmaid in Son Tanusia...warned me about this. She, Leo, Susan, Azazel, Val, Demetri, Rin, Dollar and...Cexi, a girl I don't know well, they were on a contract. Long story short, it was...some sort of trap. They found one of the three foxes' siblings...strung up, dead."
Etheyl looked up with a haunted look in her eyes. "That...means a lot for a demon. I'm not sure if Oghma has gone over them much, but they normally just...reincarnate or something, they come back. They met and fought a Lich, but he was...different, stronger. Asmodeus. He...messed with their minds, tried to manipulate them. Rin, I think...was forced to choose which of the party would die. Cexi, he really did kill her."
Etheyl sighed shakily. "They did manage to kill him, but you don't really kill a Lich. He made it clear he wasn't going away. Limbo said she still has...overly vivid nightmares that she thinks were related, and that the others seem to as well. She would never go in to detail. She was...terrified, as much as she tried not to show it. She's tough. It takes a lot to scare her like that."
"Asmodeus must be...expanding. That is...bad. Very bad," she mutters, running her hand through her hair. "His phylactery needs to be destroyed."
