"Damn...I wanted to kill him." Val growled. His hair still standing up from enraging and blood lust still lingers in his gaze. Nevertheless, the demon put away his sword and does his best not to fidget about.

Finally able to breathe again, Lexicon nods. Holding up a finger, she motions for Azazel to hold on for a moment as Lexicon approaches what remains of the altar. Trying not to flinch as she shifts the rubble, she reveals what appears to be a keyhole of some sort. The child inserts the artifact and turns it, once again a satisfying clicking sound is heard as well as a rumbling from upstairs.
Seemingly content with this, Lexicon removes the artifact and pockets it. She stands and turns to leave, but surely suddenly freezes. Rushing to the back of the room, she touches a portion of the wall causing it to slide away.
She returns to the group arms laden with several items and offers them to the party members.

Rin stares at the items in the child's hands. She is unsure if she was allowed to take one but as she reaches for one and see no hesitation on Lexicon's face she grabs one.

Val finally calms down and looks at the items in Lexa's arms. He knelt down and reaches for one. Staring at it with curiosity.

Rin receives a mysterious but ancient looking book! This one does not appear to be actively trying to kill her, what a pleasant change! With research and patience, she feels as if this book may help her gain even more knowledge about historical or magical events!
Translation:
Once per day add an extra +3 to either a history or arcana check!
With a sigh Susan wraps her arms around Val's neck and does her best to distract him.
"So, you promised we could... practice more... if I remained uninjured. Do you intend to keep that promise?"

Val let out a sigh and smiled at Susan.
"I am a man of my words." He puts the grappling hook away into his bag and pats Lexa's head.
"Thanks."
Val wrapped an arm around Susan and pulled her close.
"Might want to wait until we get back home."

Rin flips through the book a genuine smile growing on her face. She smiles down at Lexicon, "Thank you very much. Are you okay?"

As Rin looked at the child she felt guilt swell inside her. She wanted to help the child but knew there was nothing she could. She didn't even know what to say. She was terrible with children.

Azazel looks at the charms before pocketing the bracelet. She nods her thanks to Lexa before heading out of the temple. With another sharp whistle, she calls down her wyvern. "See you guys at home." She tosses them a sarcastic salute and takes off.
Once back home, she heads for her bedroom and immediately shucks off her armor. Flopping onto her bed, she lets out a huge sigh. "Man, fuck the gods."

She also notices, as she and her Wyvern fly off into the distance, that the key appears to have completely unsealed The Library. The windows are open wide and light fills it, none of the traps appear to be functioning any longer.

Waving goodbye to Rin, Lexa makes her way to the ship with Susan following close behind.
The mark begins to tingle, and fades slightly without completely disappearing, you are making progress!

"Hmmm?" Val tilted his head at her looking confused. Suddenly his expression changed back to his berserker mode. Val's head goes towards her rapidly as he bared his fangs at her and pretended to bite her by snapping his jaw.

Susan jumps backwards with a surprised yelp, heart suddenly beating much faster.
"I didn't... realize you could do that on command... you brat.." She wheezes, blushing slightly.

The demon continues to bare his teeth at her, his lips twitching as he tried to speak with a clenched jaw.
"Good acting." He wiggles his eyebrows at her and goes back to his normal self. Val wrapped an arm around Susan and pulled her back towards him.

"Where's a healer when you need one...Go sit down on a couch." Val said sternly and goes to look for Azazel. He knocked on the door to her room and walked in.
"Hey sis, I think we may need to call a medic for Lexa. She keeps getting paler since we left the library."

Without protest, Lexa lays on the couch and curls up into a ball, her tail curling around her form. She is starting to turn slightly blue.

Azazel sits up and rubs her face. She heads into the bathroom to grab some potions. Handing them to Val she ushers him out of the room. "Let me change and I will go find a healer. Give her one of those in the mean time."

Val rushes back downstairs and trips over the rug. He slides the rest of the way towards Lexa but potions still safe in his hand sticking up in the air. He quickly sits up and unscrews the cap off before lifting Lexa into a position where she could drink.
"Let me know if you need more. Azi will go out to find a healer for you."

The potion causes her breathing to become less labored and her cheeks start to lose their blue hue.
Susan watches the pair with a slight frown.
"Cyrill was not joking when he said being in the temple gave her a major weakness." She muses examining the child with a frown.

Azazel quickly changes and heads out the door, calling on her wyvern, and takes off for Kevash.
Sometime later, she returns with an eladrin woman in tow who looks like she pulled directly out of bed and shoved onto the wyvern.
Azazel leans against the wall while the woman moves to Lexa, kneeling beside her. "Hello, sweetie. I am going to see what I can do for you, okay?" She offers Lexa a sympathetic smile before laying one hand on the child's forehand and closing her eyes.
She begins to hum a song and a bright golden light flairs to life where her hand meets Lexa. She continues to hum her song for several minutes as Lexa's wounds heal.
