The Main Campaign!

Tabitha only needed to see the goblin pack take aim and fire to know that Vasani was likely in pretty bad shape, and they didn't look like they'd wait long to keep pressing the attack. Hopefully she'd have time to investigate this suspicious key before the whole place was either burned down or otherwise overrun... Darting around the corners and away from the goblins, Tabby just manages to end her sprint on the stairs at Vasani's side. Oh dear...was she still drunk? Hoping she was doing this right, she yells at her to stay still while she tries to patch up the worst of her using whatever tricks she could remember from life on the farm and from watching Phedre do her work.

Heal: 10 + 5 from our scarves = +15

That done, I'll set the closest Banner Bearer as my quarry.

The two goblin banner bearers in the room spring to their feet, and make a few hand gestures to each-other, formulating a strategy. Their motions suggest something involving a springboard.. or leap frog?

The first CHARGES at Vasani, nearly impaling her with the tip of his spear. He twists around, making his back sturdy for his allies to launch off of him. The second goblin and another in the door way prepare themselves to launch themselves gracefully at Tabitha and Vasani!

Or.. would have been. The two goblins begin charging. The one seems to have hit his head hard when Vasani shoved him; his timing was a moment off, and the two goblins crash in to eachother! They each take 16 DAMAGE and 20 DAMAGE, respectfully, and are both out cold!

(Seriously, two natural 1's?)

Meanwhile, in the other room, the goblins continue their assault on the fern, not realizing that the fires are spreading..

"JUS' STAND AROUND IT GLUBS, IF WE GETS IN THAT DOOR THAN WE WON'T GET THE FIRES ON YOU ANYMORE! HURRY!"

With a new-found fear of being barbequed on their mind, the goblins attempt breaking down the barricade with more effort than before. Before long, the fern is torn down, and the doorway open!

"AHHHHH, FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE!"

However, standing so close to the fire wasn't the best plan of action, and the fires soon spread! Each goblin is now on fire, and are taking 5 ongoing FIRE DAMAGE! Each additional turn they stay inside a burning room, they take an ADDITIONAL 5 ONGOING FIRE DAMAGE!





It is now.. CAMERON'S TURN!

Cameron jumps out of the office chair, and delivers a powerful kick to the Banner Bearer in front of him, hoping to knock the two back in to the burning room!

Despite the flames, the Banner Bearers still have enough focus to catch Cameron's blow! Nothing like a burning goblin holding on to your leg.



It is now.. PHEDRE'S TURN!

From the other room Phedre heard the gunshots and Tabby yelling for Vasani to stay down. Was she needed over there? Was everyone ok? UGH! Whose bright idea was it to put a cauldron in the way of the door? Cameron was ok for now, but was grappling with a burning goblin. She couldn't leave him, but she couldn't help with him in the way of the door. She needed to be in 2 places at once. With a glare at the cauldron she heaved it out of the way.

Move action and Standard Action

Opening the door she found she was staring at the back of a goblin head. With a burst of adrenaline and a touch of luck, she strikes the goblin from behind.

Minor Action: Knack for Success: I get a +2 power bonus to my next attack roll.

Action Point, Bastion of Defense: +9 vs AC, 3d8+5 damage. Allies within 5 squares (Cameron and Tabby) get +1 power bonus to all defenses until end of encounter AND each ally within 5 squares gets 8 temporary hit points.

A glance around the room shows Vasani patched up a bit and swigging a healing potion. Good, one less thing to worry about. But...where's Metah? Was he alright? Should she worry that she got into some trouble he couldn't handle? Ugh, one problem at a time please.

I'm having issues with my Paint program, but I'm now standing in the doorway the cauldron used to be in.

Foosh! Shards of glass and burning alcohol sear Phedre for 13 DAMAGE!

Metah, finally returning to consciousness after fainting at the stench of sharing a gob-horse costume, forces her new gob-horse friend to casually stroll over to the nearest goblin.

Gobhorse: "Uh.... 'sup?"


Suddenly Metah springs from the middle of the horse and uses Gloaming Cut then makes a stealth check to hopefully return to the safety of the horse costume unseen.

To my surprise, your damage with gloaming cut is now +1, due to your badass shortsword, and don't forget your +2d8 Sneak attack damage!

Anyway.

In a blink of an eye, you spring from the horse, CRIT the Goblin Bannerbearer for 21 DAMAGE, and hide back inside the horse before anyone knows what happened!

It is still.. Tabby's turn!

Tabitha stares in shock as Metah suddenly appears, assassinates the goblin, then disappears back into...a horse? The hell kind of death-steed is that?
Seeing as the Banner Bearer is now out of commission, Tabby sets the remaining Blunderbuster as her next Quarry and fires two arrows at it.

Attack: +8 vs AC (x2)
On Hit: 1d10+1 (per hit)
Quarry: 1d8 (x1 on hit)

Tabitha is displeased. Blowing her Elven Accuracy, she attempts to make up for her positively shitty first shot.

Re-roll attack: +8 vs AC

Hopefully that will take him out, so she moves over and shuts the door on their left, blocking the goblins into the burning room.

A blam blam! Another one bites the dust.

Meanwhile, all of the Blunderbusters are sent in to a wild panic. They scream, and charge the doorway Cameron is blocking, hoping to get out of the flames!

Against all possible odds, with the help of Phedre's blessing, he manages to hold back all of the goblins forcing their way in to the room! Bracing himself in the doorway, even with one foot held by a banner bearer, he manages to keep his ground!



I am not gonna bother waiting for the goblins to reach their next turn to take their ongoing damage. The 5 Blunderbusters burn up!

That's a total of 140 exp for all of you!



It is now.. Vasani's turn! Given the situation, you are permitted to totally move beyond your speed up to where the last guys are, as well as shove Cameron out of the way if you want. The Vasani way, after all.

Friggin' goblins. Vasani ducks out of cover and, having found the immediate room clear, runs over to help Cameron.

"Hey, Cameron. How's it going? Can I borrow that pole you keep around for special occasions? No, not that pole. The other one. Oh you might wanna move too." She pushes him out of the door way.


Vasani takes the pole and steps back to get a running start and then charges at the goblins, spearing them with the pole and pushing them back into the fire.


Not sure what type of roll to make, but basic attack is +9.

With as much grace as a few hundred, drunk, angry celtic warriors, you ram the two goblin banner bearers back in to the burning room, taking 9 DAMAGE from the impact alone, and 5 FIRE DAMAGE! The last of the goblins are defeated!

Well. Almost last of them. You stare at Gob-Horse.. what will you do? Regardless, the threat is essentially over. You should go find the mayor and townsfolk. The town is saved!

You hear magical wooshing noises. In the other room, a large golden loot-chest appears in a burst of sparkles, as if commending you on a job well done. Sweet.

Oh, Town Hall is still burning. But that's not reaaaaally your problem, is it?
