Your party is on the von Vechtan train, returning to Leopold's brother Klumn to have him look at, and hopefully translate, the Spirit-Chaser's Strategy Guide so you can use it to find a way to defeat the giant snake demon Jasper that ate a powerful bell that keeps Red Terrace's Grandfather Redwood from dying. Any questions?

The train comes to a screeching halt. The five of you are flung forward in to Jax and some of the other crows currently resting in the train-car, practically suffocating poor Cameron via bird.

You hear shouting, lots of it. Some of it is coming from Meadbeard back in the dining car (who had just lost half of his stock of booze), but also from outside. Something is clearly amiss on the tracks.

I insist! If I post, that means you guys can respond. I won't usually leave a scene un-ready for response. But since no one responded yet, I shall continue!

Outside, you see that the train tracks have been blocked! A gang of around half-dozen city thugs have piled large logs on each of the lanes. Armed with brass knuckles, truncheons, rifles, pistols and a giant tamed lobster, the gang begins to surround the train. "OY!" calls out a tom-boyish woman (who has the demeanor that of a leader) from atop a make-shift tower, "This is a hold-up! Now, be co-op-er-a-tive and no one's gon' get gutted. Clear?"

Meadbeard steps out of the train in a rage."THE HELL YA SODS THINK YA' DOIN? SPILT HALF MAH STOCK!" The dwarf huffs, throwing up his arms. "Bloody hell, jus' goddamn bandits! I don't have time for this. Oy, can you kids take care of this? I got a whole ton'a mah family's legacy ta' mop up."
The leader's face turns red. "Wha-.. E-excuse me?! We are the Proud-Boy Gang, ya' here? I'm ain't fucking joking around here, ya got that?! Now hand over the other half of your stock and whatever the hell else you got on that train or I'll start shooting!" A few of the gang members begin grinning, pounding their fists together, hoping that there will be bloodshed.

Meadbeard throws up a hand dismissing the group, not even paying enough mind to turn around to respond. "Yeah? So? That suppose' to make meh care? Bah! Jus' a bunch of bandits. I wouldn't give a kobold's ass if you were da' King of Goblins, much less'a couple o' punks. Now do us a favor, an' move those logs outta da' way for us."

"W-- What?! Are you that fucking daft dwarf? I have a goddamn gun! I'm being fucking serious!"

In a fit of rage, the gang leader holds up her rifle, and fires.

BANG!

Cameron stumbles back against the door-frame of the train car, clutching his shoulder. Drops of blood fall to the floor. He looks down at his wound, wincing, "ow, ow, ow okay that hurts ow." Meadbeard rushes to Cameron, bellowing at the gang. "OH NOW YA GON' AND DUN IT ALRIGHT. DA HELL YA DO THAT FOR? YOU BETTAH BE DEAD BY DA' TIME I GET DONE TREATIN' THIS BOY'S WOUND, YA GOT DAT?" Meadbeard lifts up Cameron, and turns to your party. "A'll take care of'da boy, ya' got that? Giv'em hell for me."

Those... those.... MEANIES! They hurt Cameron! Metah briefly considers running to tend to his wounds. But Metah doesn't really heal things, Metah sneaks and stabs things. Metah pauses and wonders if there is some sort of healing that involves sneaking and stabbing, which would be so totally awesome, but decides to just sneak and stab things the regular way.


Besides that lobster looks delicious, Metah may need to do something about that.



Metah whistles and directs the birds to converge on the giant lobster and his tamer. As the chaos of squaking, talons, and feathers distracts everyone Metah rolls the Conveniently Placed Barrel TM she has stuffed himself into, right next to the rock lobster. Stealthily. Who is going to notice a barrel when being attacked by giant angry birds?

Suddenly Metah bursts forth from the barrel and attacks the lobster.

"I AM THE BUTTER THAT FLAVOURS YOUR FLESH!"

And since I'm using gloaming cut I get to make another stealth check to vanish back into the barrel.

Oh no! Your dagger shatters on the hard carapace of the lobster, which pisses it off! The giant seafood dinner turns around, and retaliates. The beast grabs you, dealing 16 DAMAGE and grabs you! For every turn this grab is sustained, the lobster crushes you dealing 10 DAMAGE. The grab has a DC of 22 to escape.

The Proudboy leader tries to get your crows under control, firing her rifle at the pack dealing 14 damage to the group!

It is now Metah's turn again, though anyone else can join in at any point. Just roll initiative.

"OOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Why are you pinching me?!? I thought we were friends! I JUST WANTED TO EAT YOU!"

Metah attempts to do a fancy back flip and escape, and then attempts to murder the crap out of this lobster.

You manage to dodge the lobster's assault, and counter successfully for 12 DAMAGE!

The bandit also has poor luck, as he misses the barmaid with his club..



Limbo slams her shield in to the Proud-boy goon, dealing 22 DAMAGE and sliding him back one square!

The two Proud-boy triggermen and the lieutenant take pot-shots at Limbo while she fights the goon.

One of the triggermen miss, but the other two deal CRITICAL DAMAGE, for a combined total of 22 DAMAGE to Limbo!

Tabitha does a thing for 8 DAMAGE against the Proud-boy Triggerman A !
Vasani does a thing and misses!
Phedre does a thing and misses!

It is now Metah's turn again. Again, feel free to join it at any point! I'm sure Metah would love the help.

"I think it may be time for me to retreat...." Metah makes one more attack against the lobster that shifts him one square and suddenly points behind him.

"HEY LOOK! ITS BARON VON SALTY-SHORTS, THE KING OF THE SEA!"

... and runs for it when the lobster looks the other way.

S/he dives behind Limbo who is the nearest motherly figure s/he can find.

"Owwwww the mean lobster hurt meeeeeee! hide me." *So Sadness Much Tears*

Tabby jumps at the sound of the gunshot. Normally she'd worry about Cameron first, but Meadbeard made it clear he was already protecting the boy. But still, Tabitha was protective. So now, Tabitha was angry. You first, bitch.

The lieutenant barks some orders, and the two trigger-men take aim at Tabitha. But both shots miss!

The bandit makes another strike against Limbo.. yet manages to critically miss a second time. Limbo retaliates for 15 DAMAGE, slaying the bandit!

The lieutenant gets angry, and fires her rifle at Metah, which also misses.

Vasani does a thing and CRITS for 13 DAMAGE against the PROUD-BOY LIEUTENANT
Phedre does a thing and misses!

Lastly..

From behind the barricade that currently sits on the train tracks.. out pops Leopold!

"IT'S TRUE LOBSTER, METAH WAS RIGHT! IT IS I.. UH, BARON.. VON.. SALTY PANTS?! KING OF THE OCEAN! TAKE THIS!"

In the hopes of luring the giant lobster away from Metah, Leo shoots his slingshot at the beast. However, it had an unintended effect..

The lobster enrages, and charges toward Leopold, all the while dragging it's tamer behind it.

The attack just barely misses the gnome, and ends up destroying the barricade! The lobster is still super angry though.

It is now Tabitha's turn!

The story thus far: Metah View!


The day had finally come! Metah was going to be promoted into the Red Talon Scouts!



Metah a scout! S/he would be able to protect the innocent and purge the world of villainous scum!  Not to mention being able to wear a pretty snazzy new uniform.  



There was much partying and hiding in pastries whilst spying on boring old people.

But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked… I mean giant fucking snake! At first Metah was excited! Fighting a giant  monster! YES RED TALON SCOUTS REALLY ARE THE BEST WOO!



But wait, that snake was really fucking strong, it stole our fancy magic bell! NOOOOO!



Together with Redhead Motherfigure, Awesome tattoo Motherfigure, Heal-y Motherfigure, and funny Captain who keeps looking at Redhead Motherfigure’s butt, Metah embarked on a quest to rescue the Fancy Magic Bell (™)


Metah totally got a fancy sword from him/her mom, totally badass and can’t wait to use it to stab some evil folks!

They found a village of people being held captive by goblins. Metah made “friends” with a gobhorse and rode it into the sunset then used it as a disguise to sneak up on more goblins and help her Allies in Justice (™). After that a bunch of boring stuff happened, but Metah got to stab someone.

THEN THERE WAS A DANCE OFF!




Then Metah got to go to a big city! They followed some pretty sunflower paintings and met nice people who gave Metah booze! BOOZE!




Then an awesome scary lady tried to kill them!

They went to a city with dwarves! The other’s got arrested for being demons, but Metah was super sneaky and got away!
They met a fancy guy who could disappear and stuff! Metah needs to learn how to do that!

They got a magic book or something! Metah doesn’t really get books, mother taught him/her all her/his letters, but reading is hard!

They went back to see the booze people but they had been kidnapped! OH NOES!

Then they went to this giant fancy company! They rode a fancy elevator! They met a science lady! Who did science stuff!  There were people doing things  in a closet that Tabby wouldn’t explain!
They met science lady’s mom! Metah tried to hug science ladie’s mom and she hurt her/him! D: OWWWWWW!
Much sads!



Science Lady made her mom be nice again!

They saved the booze people and got the stupid guy with the pompadore fired! YAY!

Now they are off to fight the giant snake! ONWARD TO VICTORY!
